CBSE Charges Fair or Costly: CBSE has recently released a notice for the post-result declaration facility for the students in classes 10th and 12th session 2024-2025.
Board students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply to obtain their answer sheet or can opt for the revaluation or rechecking option.
To opt for any of the options, students need to pay a processing fee. The class 12th students to get a per-subject scanned copy have to pay 700 rupees and 500 rupees (class 10th). For per-answer-book verification, students are required to pay 500 rupees and 100 rupees per question.

CBSE Per Subject Obtaining A Scanned Copy Fees: Fair or Too Expensive?
The CBSE board exam result 2025 was released on 13th May 2025 for both class 12th and class 10th. It was released online mode at cbse.gov.in
Now some of the candidates who want to apply for an answer sheet or revaluation are a bit confused about whether to use this facility or not. As CBSE has clearly said that fees, once submitted, are nonrefundable, so if the marks are going to be increased or changes in the result are done, candidates will not get them back.
The processing fees to get a scanned answer key for class 12th are ₹700 per subject, while for Class 10 students, it’s ₹500 per subject. Board students who wish to apply for multitap subjects are feeling a little financially burdened.
For example, if a 12th class student wants to apply for 3 subjects then he or she will be required to pay ₹2,100, whereas if a 10th-grade student wishes to apply will have to apply for ₹1,000.
However, candidates are also informed clearly by the board that if they apply for any option, no guarantee will be deducted or increased, which is why students feel unsure about whether it’s worth the risk.
