CBSE Per Subject Obtaining A Scanned Copy Fees: Fair or Too Expensive?

The CBSE board exam result 2025 was released on 13th May 2025 for both class 12th and class 10th. It was released online mode at cbse.gov.in

Now some of the candidates who want to apply for an answer sheet or revaluation are a bit confused about whether to use this facility or not. As CBSE has clearly said, fees, once submitted, are nonrefundable, so if the marks are going to be increased or changes in the result are made, candidates will not get them back.

The processing fees to get a scanned answer key for class 12th are ₹700 per subject, while for Class 10 students, it’s ₹500 per subject. Board students who wish to apply for multitap subjects are feeling a little financially burdened.

For example, if a 12th-class student wants to apply for 3 subjects then he or she will be required to pay ₹2,100, whereas if a 10th-grade student wishes to apply for two subjects then will have to apply for ₹1,000.

However, candidates are also informed clearly by the board that if they apply for any option, no guarantee will be deducted or increased, which is why students feel unsure about whether it’s worth the risk.

    1. Yes, many students feel that ₹700 per subject is a bit high amount. As per CBSE it for detailed checking process.

  1. Re revaluation fees is too costly . because some of us needed to re write the exam aswell. And for that again we habe to pay . so revaluation fee should be less

    1. We understand your point. The cost can be challenging. You should talk to your school teacher once regarding this.
