AIPVT Counselling 2017AIPVT Provisional Allotment Result 2017 has been released now. It has been conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), New Delhi. The counselling for admission to 15% All India quota seats is organized by the VCI and the counselling for seats other than 85% all India quota is conducted separately by the respective states/University. VCI conduct online counselling for allotting seats through NEET. There is only 1 rounds of counselling. The counselling online registration was started from 11th September 2017. Candidates can register for the counselling till 18th September 2017 (11:00 AM). The counselling will be done on the basis of NEET merit list for allocation of seats to the recognized Veterinary Colleges for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. course under 15% All India quota during 2017-18.

The seat allotment will be made through online counselling. No separate intimation regarding counseling will be sent to the candidates individually. Allotment/counseling will be held as per the Category Rank (UR/SC/ST/ URPH/SCPH/STPH) only and the seats will be allotted to the candidates and reservation policy of the Government of India shall apply. At the time of reporting/admission, the eligibility criteria, various documents, etc of the candidates will be verified by the allotted college. The decision of the college in the matter will be final.

  • The entire process of counselling is online, the students need not to send any documents to VCI.
  • Allocation Letter can be downloaded by the candidates from the Council’s website on loging into the portal.

AIPVT Counselling Eligibility

Before register for counselling, Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria should check the given below eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must be Indian Citizen.
  • Candidates belonging from Jammu & Kashmir state are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats. If they claim eligibility, they have to upload self declaration.
  • Candidates must have the age of 17 years as on or before 31st December of the academic year of admission.
  • The upper age limit for the candidates seeking admission under 15% all India quota seats is 25 years as on 31st December 2017. Candidates belonging from SC/ST/OBC shall be relaxed with 5 years in upper age limit.
  • Candidates should have passed/appearing 10+2 as a qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English subjects.
  • Qualifying examination must be passed with 50% aggregate marks scored in PCB and English.

AIPVT Counselling Procedure 2017

AIPVT counselling process will consist of following steps:

Counselling Registration – In order to participate in AIPVT Counselling 2017, candidates have to first register themselves in the council’s website. To register, candidate’s have to enter details like name, DOB, roll number, application number, etc. Only the registered candidates will be considered for counselling.

Exercising of Choice Filling & Locking – Candidates can select the choices for veterinary colleges and  lock the choices by clicking on save button. Once the candidates marked the choices for colleges, the list of selected veterinary college will appear on the screen. Candidate’s can take the printout of locked choices.

Seat Allotment – Allotments will be made in the order of preference of options exercised by the candidates and rank of the candidate in AIPVT 2017. Candidate’s can check the result of seat allotment on council’s official website.

Reporting to the Allotted Veterinary College – After getting seat, candidates are required to report to the allotted institution within the specified dates to complete admission formalities.

Documents Required at the Time of Admission

Candidate’s are required to carry the following documents in original at the time of admission:

  • Copy of VCI Counseling Registration confirmation page.
  • NEET UG 2017 Application Form Copy.
  • NEET UG 2017 Admit Card
  • Rank Card of NEET UG – 2017
  • Addhar Card, Voter ID Card, Ration Card & Passport as the case may be written in the Application Form of NEET – UG – 2017 (any one of the ID is required as mentioned in NEET application).
  • Date of Birth Certificate (if Secondary School Examination Certificate does not have the same)
  • Secondary School Examination or equivalent Certificate
  • 10+2 Mark Sheet (Qualifying Examination Mark Sheet)
  • 10+2 Certificate or Provisional Certificate (Qualifying Examination Certificate). Provisional Certificate is permissible for those candidates who had passed in the year 2017 only.
  • Character Certificate from the School or College last attended.
  • Six passport size colored Photographs and One Postcard size colored photograph (same as uploaded on the NEET application form).

    My score in NEET is 219 (well not that great) and OBC category. I did not get in the first round. Is there a chance I get it in second round if conducted? will there be a second round?
