Candidates are able to check their NEET 2020 result & rank letter through online process only. No score card will be sent to the candidates via offline mode. For SC/ST candidates, no separate result has been declared. The merit list is prepared of eligible candidates on the basis of NEET result. Candidates are called for the NEET 2020 counselling process on the basis of merit list.

The minimum NEET cut-off marks to qualify the NEET exam will be 50% (For General category) & 40% (For reserved Category). Candidates are able to check the NEET answer key before the result declaration. The answer key helps the candidates to estimate the minimum score secured in the entrance exam.

NEET Result Declaration Date

The NEET entrance exam has been organized through pen and paper based mode. It has been conducted on 13th September 2020.  After one month of the entrance test, the result has been declared. The result has been announced on 16th October 2020. The counselling procedure will be started after the result declaration.

How to Check the Result

Candidates have to follow the given steps to get the result:

  • Open the official portal. (Link is given above)
  • Click on the link “Click here”.
  • The result page will be opened on the computer screen.
  • Enter your roll number & date of birth.
  • Click on the “Submit” button.
  • Result has been displayed on the screen.
  • Take the print copy of the result for further reference.

The score card of NEET 2020 exam will be valid only for one year (for the session 2020-21). The score card is available via online mode. Details mentioned in the score card are given below:

NEET 2020 Answer Key

The answer key has been released through online mode. Candidates are able to check the answer key via online mode. With the help of answer key, students can calculate their rough marks they are going to score in the examination. The NEET answer key 2020 bears the correct answers of all the questions asked in the examination.

The authority shall also provide the facility to challenge against the answer key. Students may challenge the answer key within the prescribed dates. Candidates can challenge the answer key via online mode with the payment of Rs. 1000/- per answer. If the challenge is accepted by the authority, the payment can refunded to candidates.

NEET 2020 Merit List

The merit list is prepared in percentile determined on the basis of highest marks secured by the candidates in the NEET exam. The merit list for 15% All India Quota is prepared by NTA. Candidates will get admission in colleges or universities as per their position in the merit list. The rank list has been published through online mode.

NEET 2020 Merit List Tie-Breaking Criteria

In order to prepare the merit list, the authority shall use the tie-breaking method. In case candidates score equal marks in the NEET examination, tie-breaking method is considered. The tie-breaking mention of NEET 2020 exam is mentioned below:

  • Students obtaining higher marks in Biology subject in NEET 2020 exam.
  • Students securing higher marks in Chemistry subject in NEET 2020 exam.
  • Candidates with less number of wrong question attempts in all subjects of NEET exam.
  • After applying all the above methods of tie breaking the tie remain, students older in age will be considered.

After the declaration of NEET Result, candidates are able to participate in the counselling process followed by the admission in the respective allotted colleges.

Counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats (MBBS/BDS) is regulated by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

NEET 2020 Counselling registration (All India Quota) has been started from 28th October 2020. Candidates are able to participate in the counselling process conducted by their state medical admission authorities.

      There is nothing to called PASSING MARKS in NEET Exam. In NEET, it is QUALIFYING MARKS rather which is 50th percentile (approx. 118 marks)

      Cut off marks is the minimum marks required for govt. Colleges mainly. Qualifying marks in 50% in which you will get a rank. Pass marks depends upon the overall average marks of the students like last year it was something between 140 somethin.
