NEET Result 2026

Candidates willl be able to check their NEET 2026 results & rank letters through an online process only. No scorecard will be sent to the candidates via offline mode. For SC/ST candidates, no separate result will be declared. The merit list will be prepared for eligible candidates based on NEET results.

Qualified candidates will be called for the NEET 2026 counselling process on the basis of merit list. The minimum NEET cut-off marks to qualify for the NEET exam are 50% (For General category) & 40% (For reserved Category). Candidates are able to check the NEET answer key before the result declaration. Answer key helps the candidates estimate the minimum score secured in the entrance exam.

NEET Result Declaration Date

The NEET entrance examination has been organized through a pen and paper based mode. It was conducted on 3rd May 2026.  After one month of the entrance test, authority will publish the result for every participating candidate. Candidates will be able to check their results from June 2026. The counselling procedure will begin after the result declaration.

How to Check NEET UG Result

Candidates have to follow the given steps to get the result:

  • Open the official portal. (Link will be given above)
  • Click on the link “Click here”.
  • The result page will be opened on the computer screen.
  • Enter your application number, security pin & password.
  • Click on the “Login” button.
  • Result has been displayed on the screen.
  • Take the print copy of the result for further reference.

The scorecard of NEET 2026 exam will be valid only for one year (for the session 2026-27). The scorecard will be available via online mode. Details mentioned in the scorecard are given below:

NEET 2026 Answer Key

The answer key has been released through online mode. Candidates are able to check the answer key via online mode. With the help of answer key, students can calculate the rough marks they are going to score in the examination. The NEET answer key 2026 bears the correct answers to all the questions asked in the examination.

The authority also provides the facility to challenge against the answer key. Students may challenge the answer key within the prescribed dates. Candidates can challenge the answer key via online mode with the payment of Rs. 200/- per answer. If the challenge is accepted by the authority, the payment will be refunded to candidates.

NEET 2026 Merit List

The merit list will be prepared in percentiles determined on the basis of highest marks secured by the candidates in the NEET exam. The merit list for 15% All India Quota will be prepared by NTA. Candidates will get admission to colleges or universities as per their position on the merit list. The rank list will be published through online mode.

NEET 2026 Merit List Tie-Breaking Criteria

In order to prepare the merit list, the authority shall use the tie-breaking method. In case candidates score equal marks in the NEET examination, a tie-breaking method will be considered. The tie-breaking mention of NEET 2026 exam will be mentioned below:

  • Students obtaining higher marks in Biology subject in NEET 2026 exam.
  • Students securing higher marks in Chemistry subject in NEET 2026 exam.
  • Students securing higher marks in Physics subject in NEET 2026 exam.
  • Candidates with less number of wrong questions & correct attempts in all subjects of NEET exam.
  • Candidates with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Biology section.
  • Candidates with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry section.
  • Candidates with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics section.

NEET Counselling 2026

After the declaration of NEET Result, qualified candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process followed by admission to the respective allotted colleges. Counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats (MBBS/BDS) will be regulated by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

NEET 2026 Counselling registration (All India Quota) will begin from  July 2026. Candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process conducted by their state medical admission authorities. Provisional allotment will be released in August 2026 for first round.
