The admissions into the B.Tech courses will be done through entrance examinations. Many institutions provide admission on the basis of merit list of qualifying exams, i.e., 10+2 level.
Candidates may appear in the national level and state level engineering exam to get admission in top engineering colleges and universities of the state.
There is a separate entrance exam to get admission in UG and PG engineering programmes. Admission to B.Tech course will be offered through national level JEE Main or state level entrance exam.
Admission to M.Tech course will be offered through the GATE. REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) is conducted for admissions in engineering courses on the basis of 12th class marks. Candidates can also appear in the university level exam, i.e., BITSAT for getting admission.

Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria to appear in the entrance exam for engineering courses. In this section, candidates can get the basic eligibility criteria.
If any candidate will not fulfill the eligibilities given below, they will not be allotted admissions even on appearing in the exam.
- Candidate should hold the Indian nationality.
- Candidates should pass the 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Candidates must have Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and English in the qualifying exam.
- The candidate should score minimum 50% marks in their 12th class.
- Appearing candidates will be also eligible to apply.
The seats in the private and government engineering colleges of Rajasthan will be provided on the basis of rank obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam. Candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling on the basis of merit list prepared by the concerned authority.
The counselling will be conducted by various institutions on their levels. The admission procedure is followed by the online registration, choice filling, reporting in the allotted college and payment of admission fee.
After the document verification, the provisional seat allotment letter will be given to the candidates for reporting to the allotted institution and getting admission.
Candidates will have to bring these original certificates along with one set of Xerox copy for admission.
