DASA 2022: UG Rank (Out), Counselling (Open), Allotment (Released)
DASA 2022 Special round allotment has been released. Direct Admission of Student Abroad (DASA) is a national level admission procedure conducted by the one of participating Institutions in the rotational basis. This year, it will be conducted by NIT Warangal. DASA is a scheme of MHRD which is intended to provide admission in various UG, PG courses to the Foreign Nationals, PIO and NRI candidates. The admission in the UG, PG Programs will be provided on the basis of JEE Main, GRE and GMATscore. Shortlisted candidates for the admission will get seats in the NITs, IIEST, IIITs, SPAs, Central Universities and Other Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutes Coordinating Institution of India. DASA 2022 Application Form
Following are the complete details candidates needs to know about the DASA Application Form 2022:
- The Application Form has been made available through online mode.
- Registration Process for the UG courses has been started from 29th August till 20th September 2022.
- For the PG courses, the registration process has been regulated from 30th July 2022 to 13th August 2022.
- The registration process has been made available for eligible candidates only, so candidates must confirm their eligibility before applying for the admission.
- Details filled by candidates in the application form must be authentic and any alteration in the details can cause rejection of application form.
- Candidates must submit their application form before the last date of submission as no candidate are allowed to submit the application form after that date.
- Candidates must keep the printout of filled application form and fee receipt for future references.
Application Fee:
- Application Form fee can be paid through online mode only.
- Candidates can use SWIFT transfer / E-payment/ NEFT/ RTGS Transfer gateways for transaction of application fee.
- The application fee for UG is US $300.

DASA Eligibility Criteria
Following are the complete Eligibility Norms for the DASA 2022 Admission Procedure:
UG:
- Nationality: Indian or Indian national studying abroad as well as foreign nationals candidates are eligible to apply.
- Qualification: Candidates must qualify 12th/ intermediate from any recognised board or university. (OR)
- Candidates expecting their final result by December 31, 2022 will be also eligible to apply
- Percentage: Candidates must have Physics & Mathematics as mandatory subject and any one from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science.
- Rank: Candidates must have valid JEE Main Rank.
- Age Limit: Applying candidates must be born on or after 1st October, 1997.
- For Architecture, candidates must have passed 10+2 scheme of examination with PCM (OR)
- Candidates must have passed 10+3 diploma examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject.
- For B.Planning, candidates must have qualified 10+2 scheme of examination with Mathematics as mandatory subject.
PG:
- Nationality: Foreign Nationals, PIOs or OCIs category candidates can apply for the DASA.
- Qualification: Applying Candidates must have passed undergraduate programme in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in relevant discipline.
- Qualification For MBA: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized board.
- Subjects: Candidates must have Mathematics & Physics subject & any one from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or Computer Science.
- Percentage: Candidates must have obtained at least 60% Marks or 50 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) in qualifying examination.
- Age Criteria: There won’t be any age restriction in the age limit.
- Appearing: Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination will be also eligible to apply.
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
DASA 2022 Merit List
The merit list will be prepared for every candidates on the basis of their performance in the JEE Main, GRE and GMAT examination. Authority will prepare the merit list for only those candidates whose JEE Main, GRE or GMAT score will be received by the authority before the prescribed date.
The admission in the applied programs of NITs, IIEST, IIITs, SPAs, Central Universities and Other Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutes will be done on the basis of candidates rank in the merit list.
DASA 2022 Selection Procedure
The selection of candidates for the admission in the NITs, IIEST, IIITs, SPAs, Central Universities and Other Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutes will be done on the basis of candidates performance in the JEE Main, GRE and GMATexamination.
Authority will prepare the merit list on the basis of obtained JEE Main, GRE or GMAT score shortlisting the candidates for admission procedure. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the various round of counselling procedure on the basis of their rank in the merit list.
DASA 2022 Counselling
The counselling procedure will be conducted by the admission authority for every eligible candidate through online mode only. The counselling procedure will be conducted in the various rounds on the basis of availability of vacant seats.
The counselling procedure will be followed by the various rounds including Registration, Choice Filling, Allotment of Seats and reporting round. The admission in the offered programs will be provide on the basis of candidate’s Choice of Centre, Availability of seats at the particular centre at particular programs, Rank of candidate in the merit list etc.
Candidates will have to report in the allotted centre within given period of time for confirming their admission. Candidates will have to complete all remaining formalities for confirming their admission.
DASA 2022 Admission
The admission will be provided to the eligible candidates only. For admission in the UG Programs, candidates will have to obtained the valid marks in the JEE Main examination. Admission in the Engineering and Technology programs will be offered on the basis of GRE Score and GMAT score will be required for the admission in MBA program.
Authority will prepare a merit list for the admission in every UG, PG and MBA Program separately on the basis of candidates marks in JEE Main, GRE and GMAT examination respectively. The seats in the offered programs will be allotted on the basis of counselling round.

DASA 2022 registration is starting soon in July/ August 2022. No fixed date has been released regarding same yet.
How to apply through DASA quota… My son appeared for 12th board exams in 2022. He would like to do B Tech. in Computer Science and Technologies. He is a scholar student. In which NIT he will get his Branch.. Kindly guide.

My son will be writing JEE Mains in 2022. He will come under DASA quota .Should we apply separately under DASA quots when the results come or you will take care and give him a ranking uder the DASA quota ?
