It is a national level exam, which is conducted to get admissions in the postgraduate programmes (M.Tech/ M.E) in NITs, IITs & various top Institutions.

In this article, we have updated the details about GATE Cut Off 2026 including the qualifying cut off, category cut off, paper wise and branch wise cut off for the year.

GATE 2026 Cut Off

The GATE Cut Off are the minimum marks which candidates have to score in the examination for admission into M.Tech/ ME courses. The cut-off depends on the various factors such as the number of candidates appeared in the exam, the difficulty level of exam & total number of seats available in each Institution.

After the result declaration, the cut-off list is released. GATE 2026 Result has been released on 19th March 2026 through online mode. The scorecard is available for downloading from 27th March – 31st May 2026. Cutoff has been released. 

The Cut-off marks is decided by a committee constituted by IIT Council. On the basis of cut-off marks, the merit list will be prepared for short listing candidates for counselling and admission process.
