NCHMCT JEE

NCHM JEE is one of the most popular entrance exams for admission to hotel management courses in India.

The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), for admission to B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration programs across various Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT).

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with English as a compulsory subject.
  • Age limit is 25 years for General/OBC candidates and 28 years for SC/ST candidates.

AIMA UGAT

UGAT exam is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) every year in June. The registration process begin in the first week of January.

UGAT scores are accepted by various participating institutes across India offering undergraduate programs in fields like Management, Hotel Management etc.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates passed 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board are eligible for the exam.
  • There is no age limit to apply for the exam.

CUET

CUET exam is conducted by NTA for admission to UG & PG courses offered by various central universities of India.

Candidates looking for admission in hospitality & hotel management courses offered by CU’s must appear in the CUET exam.

Central Universities offers admission to their hotel management through CUET UG exam only.

AIHMCT WAT

Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Written Admission Test known as AIHMCT WAT is conducted by the Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Bangalore.

The exam is conducted for admission to its BHM (Bachelor’s in Hotel Management) program. This exam is specifically for children of army personnel.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with English as a subject.
  • Only wards of serving or retired army personnel are eligible for the exam.

IHM Aurangabad Entrance Exam

UPCET

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST).

eCHAT

eCHAT, conducted by the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM), is a unique online entrance test for admission to various hotel management programs offered by IIHM campuses across India.

Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with English as a compulsory subject.

PUTHAT

PUTHAT stands for Panjab University Tourism & Hospitality Aptitude Test.  PUTHAT exam is conducted for admission in hotel management & tourism courses offered by Panjab University & its affiliated colleges.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English as a subject from a recognised board.

IPU CET BHMCT

IPU CET BHMCT stands for IP University Common Entrance Test for Hotel Management and Catering Technology. The exam is conducted for admission to hotel management courses offered by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English as a subject and should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

Hotel Management Admission Process

Candidates have to qualify the entrance test and appear in the counselling process. The counselling for NCHMCT JEE starts in June every year. The candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their NCHMCT JEE ranks and preference.
