JEE Main 2026 examination for April session will be held at different centres located in various cities throughout the country and 15 outside India.
How may shifts are there in JEE 2026 – April session?
NTA organises JEE Main exam in two shifts every year. It is conducted in morning shift and evening shift.
For Paper 1 scheduled on 2nd and 4th April 2026, first shift will be held from 9am to 12 noon and second shift from 3pm to 6pm.
For Paper 1 and Paper 2A & 2B scheduled on 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th April 2026, first shift will be held from 9am to 12 noon and second shift from 3pm to 6/6.30pm.

In the earlier notice, NTA only announced the revised exam dates of JEE Main 2026 Session 2 along with paper wise shifts. Now with the admit card download link NTA has also updated about exact exam timings.

JEE Main 2026 Exam Shifts & Timing
Candidates are required to reach the examination centre 2 hours before the exam start time so that authority can do checking and document verification.
