Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod

Central University of Kerala (CUK), Kasaragod came into existence in the year of 2009 under “The Central Universities Act, 2009”. It is a Central University that is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). All the law courses are approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

Campus

The university campus is spread over 310 acres of land at Tejaswini Hills, Kasaragod, Kerala. The university is situated besides National Highway – 17. The city is well-linked with the road, rail & air transportation facility. The Department of Law campus is located at Pathanamthitta.

Facilities

There is a state-of-the-art library with the rich collection of the reference books, textbooks, national & international journals, projects, reports, periodicals, etc. The university has a separate hostel accommodation for both Boys & Girls. Other Facilities provided by the university such as transport, laboratory, spacious classrooms, seminar hall, canteen, medical, conference hall, etc. Digital resources & Internet are freely available to students. The computer labs are well-equipped with the internet facility & latest technology.

Programmes

Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod imparts Master of Law (LLM). There are 26 seats available for LLM programme. The University also runs UG & PG programmes in the field of Science & Arts streams after 12th & graduation. It also offers research courses.

Admission

The admission into the LLM programme will be based on the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) ranking. Students have to pass their bachelor degree in law from a recognized university for admission into LLM course. Students have to score 50% marks in case of GEN category & 45% marks in case of reserved category.
