Haldia Law College, Medinipur

Haldia Law College is an institution of Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education (ICARE) established in the year of 2002. This college is affiliated with Vidyasagar University and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi.

Campus

This college has a sprawling campus situated in ICARE Complex, Medinipur. Medinipur is the district of the state of West Bengal. The campus is well-connected through the all modes of transportation. The campus comprises of administrative block and student block.

Facilities

This college has a state-of-the-art library which is equipped with a vast collection of books, journals, periodicals, cases, reports, projects and many other study materials. It also houses separate hostels for girls and boys. Hostel rooms are fully furnished and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The classrooms are well-ventilated and equipped with LCD Projectors and many other audio-video teaching equipments. Other facilities are moot court sessions, co-curricular activities, hygienically maintained canteen, medical facility, transport facility, supreme court and high court visits, etc.

Programmes

Haldia Law College runs UG and PG law courses such as LL.B, BA. LL.B (Hons.) and LL.M (Master of Laws) courses. The duration of LL.B course is three years and BA. LL.B (Hons.) course duration is five years and the duration of LL.M course is two years. The law courses offered by this college are mentioned here:

Admission

For admissions in BA.LL.B and LL.B course, candidates are needed to appear in the separate admission test organized by the college. Admissions in LL.B courses will be given as per the student’s performance in the admission test. A merit list will be prepared according to the marks secured in the admission test. Students will get admission as per the merit list.
