Kerala Law Academy (KLA), Thiruvananthapuram was started in the year 1966. KLA was founded by the eminent judges, lawyers & academiciansThe academy is affiliated to the University of Kerala and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi.

Campus

The beautiful campus of Kerala Law Academy (KLA) is located at Peroorkada, Trivandrum, which is the capital city of Kerala, India. The college campus covers the area of around 12 acres of land. It is easily accessible by roads and other modes of transportation.

Facilities

The campus provides many facilities that include modern classrooms equipped with LCD projectors and OHP for Lecture Sessions, residential blocks are provided for the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. It has an air-conditioned moot court where moot court activities is carried out. The large and open auditorium of the campus is the place for conducting cultural events as well as academic activities. There is a multipurpose stadium is available in the campus that provides playground to the students. Hostel facility for both girls and boys are available. The two-storied library building of the campus accommodates a good collection of law books. Other facilities include canteen, guest house, internet facility, etc.

KLA offers LL.B., LL.M., MB.L. Degree to the eligible candidates. It also offers integrated law courses that has the duration of 5 years. Popular law courses offered by KLA are listed below:

Admission

Candidates seeking admission in the integrated law courses must have passed 10+2 examination with not less than 45% marks. Admission to LL.B., B.A.LL.B and B.Com.LL.B. will be done on the basis of merit. The merit list will be prepared as per the candidate’s academic performance in the qualifying examination. Admission to LL.M. programme will be made on the basis of interview and marks secured in the LL.B Examination.
