Mewar University, Chittorgarh

Mewar University, Chittorgarh was set up by the Government of Rajasthan in 2009. The University is promoted by the Mewar Education Society (MES). It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Mewar University has 12 faculties that runs undergraduate and postgraduate programme in various fields. It has the faculty of legal studies that offers law courses to the students.

Campus

The campus of Mewar University is situated on NH 79 (Delhi-Mumbai Highway), Gangrar of Chittorgarh District, Rajasthan that is 18 km away from the Chittorgarh city. The sprawling campus of the University has been constructed over 30 acres of land. The campus is easily connected by roads and railway networks. Dabhok (Udaipur) is the nearest airport and is only 100 km away from the campus.

Facilities

The University is facilitated with air-conditioned digital library that has the stock of 50,000 latest books and video/audio CDs, well-equipped laboratories of various departments, hostel facilities for girls and boys in the campus premises, hostel students are provided with gymnasium facility, yoga and meditation centre, sport facilities, health and medical facility, guest house for accommodating visiting faculties, transport facility for students, modern canteen within the campus, cafeteria, stationary shop, laundry, STD booth, etc.

Programmes

Mewar University, Chittorgarh regulates UG, PG and PG Diploma law courses. There are 120 seats available for B.A.LL.B, BBA.LLB and LL.B programme, 60 seats for LL.M and 30 seats for PG Diploma. Law courses offered by the University are listed below:

Admission

For admission to the UG and PG courses, eligible candidates can download the application form from the official website of the University. To apply for the LL.B course, it must be necessary for the candidates to secure 50% marks in graduation passed in any stream. The eligibility criteria for integrated law courses is 10+2 passed with minimum 50% marks. those seeking admission in LL.M. have to secure at least 50% marks in LL.B.
