NEF Law College, Guwahati

NEF Law College was started in the year of 2006 and promoted by the National Education Foundation. This college is affiliated with Gauhati University and approved by BCI (Bar Council of India), Department of Higher Education and Govt. of Assam.

Campus

This college has a sprawling campus located in G.M.C.H. Road, Ananda Nagar, Guwahati. The campus is just situated opposite to St. John’s Hospital and Ganeshguri Market. The campus is well-connected by the road and rail transportation.

Facilities

This college houses a well-stocked library which is equipped with a rich collection of books, supreme court cases, banking cases, consumer protection judgments, journals, magazines and other study materials. There are numbers of classrooms which are fully furnished and equipped with the modern teaching equipments. This college has a moot court hall equipped with all the facilities to conduct moot court practices, etc. It also offers well-established canteen, advanced computer centre, transport facility, medical facility, indoor and outdoor sports facility, legal aid clinic and many others.

Programmes

NEF Law College runs many courses in the field of law such as BA. LL.B (Hons.), BBA. LL.B (Hons.), B.Com LL.B (Hons.), LL.B (Three years) and LL.M programme. There are 120 seats available for the BA. LL.B (Hons.), 60 seats for BBA. LL.B, 60 seats for B.Com LL.B, 120 seats for LL.B (Three year) and 50 seats for LL.M course. Some popular law courses are listed here:

Admission

Students will be selected for admission into five years integrated programmes through the NLET (NEF Law Entrance Test). Admissions in three years LL.B programmes will be done through the merit list of the qualifying exam. Admission to LL.M courses will be given as per the merit list drawn on the basis of performance in the written test and Viva-voce.
