AIIMS Nursing 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, students must thoroughly check the AIIMS Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2026:

For B.Sc (Hons) Nursing:

  • Nationality: Candidates applying for AIIMS Nursing 2026 must be Indian Nationals.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must have attained a minimum age of 17 years as on 31st December 2026.
  • Qualification: Candidates must have completed their 12th-grade examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Gender: Only female aspirants will be allowed to apply.
  • Subject: Applicants must have passed their qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.
  • Marks: Candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their qualifying examination (50% for SC/ST candidates).
  • Appearing: Those awaiting their results or appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

For B.Sc (Post Basic):

  • Qualification: To be eligible, students must have passed 10th/12th level examination from any recognized board.
  • Individuals who have qualified 10+1 examination on or before 1987 will also be eligible.
  • Diploma: Candidates must possess a Diploma in GNM from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
  • Registration: Candidates will need to be registered as a nurse, RN (registered nurse), or RM (registered midwife) with any State Nursing Council. 
  • For male nurses who qualified before 2003, must have obtained a training certificate in GNM instead of midwifery training, for a six-month period, to be registered with the State Nursing Council.

For M.Sc Nursing:

  • Qualification: Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent to apply.
  • Minimum Marks: One must secure at least 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST category) in qualifying examination.

AIIMS Nursing 2026 Exam Pattern

  • Exam Mode: Students will have to give the AIIMS Nursing 2026 exam via online mode only.

AIIMS Nursing Result 2026 will be announced on 5th June 2026 for B.Sc (Post Basic) Nursing and on 27th June 2026 for M.Sc Nursing courses. For B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing course, it will be declared on 4th July 2026

Students will be able to access their results via online mode through their login on the website. A separate merit list will also be published for shortlisting eligible students for seat allotment in participating institutes.

The authority will publish category-wise AIIMS Nursing Cut Off 2026 via online mode after the declaration of result. The cut off will be the minimum qualifying scores determined by the institute to shortlist eligible candidates for seat allotment. 

The minimum qualifying marks for UG nursing courses will be 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST candidates whereas, 50th percentile cut off scores will be required for PG nursing courses.

AIIMS Nursing 2026 Counselling
