Odisha DET 2024 Merit List
The authority publish a separate merit list for all the students who are from outside the state on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in the entrance exam. The general merit list is made available for applicants seeking admission into the diploma engineering/ technology courses.
The authority publish the merit list for lateral entry admission category for ITI/ 10+2 vocational candidates and 10+2 science with PCM students. The effective marks and reservation is taken into consideration while preparing the merit list.
Merit List Preparation

For Diploma in Engineering/ Technology (1st year):
- Applicants who obtain equal marks in the entrance exam, candidate having a higher percentage of marks in Mathematics are considered at higher rank.
- If candidates score the same marks in Mathematics, then student with higher marks in Science are given a higher rank.
- If still, candidates have the same percentage in Science, then applicant who obtain higher marks in English are provided a higher rank.
- In case, students have the same marks in English, then senior in age applicant are considered at higher rank.
For Diploma in Engineering (2nd Year):
The merit list is prepared separately for ITI, vocational and science passed candidates.
Odisha DET 2024 Counselling
The Odisha DET 2024 counselling procedure is organized on the basis of the final merit list. Only shortlisted candidates are called for Odisha DET counselling/ document verification procedure. Students can register for counselling procedure.
The counselling procedure includes various rounds such as registration, choice filling, seat allotment and reporting. The seats are offered to the candidates on the basis of the rank secured in the merit list and choice filling. After the seat allotment process, candidates are called for reporting at the allotted centers. For document verification process, it is mandatory for the documents to carry the following documents at the allotted center:
- Pass Certificate and marksheet of High school certificate (HSC) examination awarded by BSE, Odisha/ 10th standard examination certificate declared equivalent.
