IISC 2024 Application Form has been released for UG Science programmes. IISC (Indian Institute of Science), Bangalore is the conducting authority of IISC admission procedure. It is a national level admission procedure which is organised once in a year. Admission through this is offered in various UG & PG research programmes. Admission is offered based on the merit list of various national level Entrance examination such as JEE Main/ NEET/ IISER / GATE/ NET/ JRF. There no separate entrance examination is conducted by the authority for admission. IISC 2024 Application Form has been released on 1st April 2024 for UG Science courses. It will be released on 15th May 2024, tentatively for B.Tech. Check here for application details.

IISC 2024 Application Form

Candidates are advised to check the below provided IISC 2024 Application Form details & instructions:

• Aspirants are able to fill their application form from 5th February 2024 to 22nd March 2024 for PG courses.
• For B.Tech courses, candidates must fill the registration form from 15th May 2024.
• Candidates are advised to check and satisfy all eligibility criteria before filling the application form.
• IISC application form is available to fill through online mode on the website, there is no offline facility for filling of the form.
• Fill all the required details in application form like educational, personal, address, category etc.
• Upload scanned images of photograph and signature in JPG/ JPEG format.
• Candidates must fill correct details in the application form. No correction facility will be provided later to the candidates.
• There is no need to send hard copy of the filled application form by post to the authority.
• Candidates are advised to take printout of the filled application form and keep it safe for future purpose.

Application Fee:

• Registration fee for IISC 2024 can be paid through online mode.
• Candidates are able to pay online fee using debit card/ credit card or net banking.
• Fee is non-refundable & non-transferable once paid.

How to Apply for IISC 2024:

• Step 1: Visit the website (link is mentioned above).
• Step 2: Go to the admission button and click on ‘online applications’ link.
• Step 3: Select your course and click on ‘apply online’ button.
• Step 4: Enter your basic details and register yourself.
• Step 5: Now, fill the application form using login details i.e. application number & password.
• Step 6: Fill details i.e. contact, address, qualification, category etc. and submit these details.
• Step 7: Upload necessary documents i.e photograph, signature, certificates in correct format.
• Step 8: Pay the application fee through online mode, no fee will be accepted through offline method.
• Step 9: Take printout of the filled application form and keep it safe for future references.

IISC 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Below candidates can check the eligibility criteria before filling the IISC 2024 application form:

UG Courses:

• Qualifications: Candidates must pass 10+2 level exam or its equivalent examinations from any recognised board.
• Marks Criteria: Aspirants must secured 60% marks in their qualifying examination (SC/ ST must have passing scores) to be eligible.
• Subjects: Candidates must have studied physics, chemistry & mathematics subjects in their qualifying exam.
• Score Card: Candidates must be qualified in any one of the exams i.e. JEE Main/ NEET/ JEE Advanced/ IISER. Result of the exam must be valid as on 1st August 2024.
• Appearing: 12th class appearing candidates will also be eligible to apply.

PG Courses:

• Qualifications: Candidates must be Graduated in engineering/ technology/ 4 yrs of B.Sc. to be eligible.
• Aspirants having master’s degree in science, economics, geography, psychology, management, commerce, operations research, computer science/ application will also be eligible.
• Candidates who have MS/ MBA degree will be able to apply.
• Aspirants having anyone of MBBS/ MD/ B.Pharm or B.E/ B.Tech degree can also apply.
• Score Card: Candidates must be qualified in any one of the exams i.e. GATE/ NET/ GPAT/ NET JRF and score card must be valid as on 1st August 2024.

IISC 2024 Rank List

IISC Rank List will be released through online mode on the website. It will be released separately for UG & PG courses. Candidates will be able to check rank list after few days the completion of registration. Rank list will be prepared by the authority based on national level examination scores. It will not be released through any other or offline mode.

Rank list for UG courses will be prepared based on JEE Main/ NEET/ IISER & JEE Advanced examinations scores and for PG courses it will be based on GATE/ NET/ GPAT/ NET JRF exam scores. On the basis of rank list, candidates will be selected for the further admission procedure.

IISC 2024 Cut Off

Cut off will be released separately for all the categories. Candidates must check IISC Cut Off through online mode in the PDF format. Cut off will be the minimum marks that candidates have to obtained in the examination to be eligible for admission.

Candidates can also take an idea about the cut off from the last years cut off marks. Authority will release the cut off marks for different exams i.e. JEE Main, NEET, IISER, JEE Advanced. For PG, cut off will be prepared for the exams i.e. GATE, UGC NET, GPAT, NET JRF etc.

IISC 2024 Admission

IISC Admission will be followed by various round i.e. interview, document verification etc. Candidates will be selected for the admission based on the cut off scores. Selected candidates will be able to download their call letters from the website through online mode.

Only eligible candidates will be selected for further admission rounds. Seat allotment will be done to the candidates on the basis of marks scores by the candidates in national level scores, total availability of seat, number of aspirants applied and document verification.

Seats will be confirmed to the candidates only after the verification of the documents. Candidates will need to report at the department with required documents.
