IISER 2023IISER 2023 exam will be held in the month of July 2023 for SCB channel. IISER (Institutes of Science Education & Research) exam is conducted every year, through which candidates are offered admission to BS & BS-MS Dual Degree programs in various disciplines. IISER offers admission through three channels – KVPY channel, JEE Advanced channel & IISER Aptitude test (IAT) channel. The application process for IAT will start from fourth week of May 2023.

IISER 2023 Application Form

Know complete details regarding the IISER 2023 Application Form in below given section:

  • IISER 2023 Application form for IAT 2023 will start from last week of May 2023 through online mode.
  • For JEE Advanced channel & SCB channel, applications will be available from May 2023.
  • The application form will only be released by online mode & made available to eligible candidates only. Candidates must ensure they fulfill the complete eligibility criteria of IISER.
  • Students can apply for all IISERs through common application form.
  • Registration details must be entered correctly as no information can be changed once it is submitted.
  • Last date to submit application for SCB channel will be till first week of June 2023. For JEE Advanced & KVPY channel, last date to apply will be till June 2023.
  • Take the printout of the application form and payment receipt after submission of form.

Application Fee:

IISER 2023 application fee submission process can only be done by using the Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, and other online payment gateways.

How to Fill IISER 2023 Application?

  • Step 2: Click on online register link.
  • Step 3: Fill up the details asked in application form correctly.
  • Step 4: Upload scanned images as per the instructions mentioned.
  • Step 5: Pay the application fees through payment gateway provided.
  • Step 6: Submit application form and take its printout.

IISER 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Following we have provided IISER Eligibility criteria which candidates must satisfy to be eligible to apply for IISER 2023:

General Eligibility (All channels):

  • Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian national or PIO or OCI.
  • Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent level exam with science stream in 2022 or 2023 from any board recognized by Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE).
  • Qualifying marks: Candidates of General/ OBC & OBC-NCL category should have scored minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination (55% marks for SC/ ST PWD candidates.
  • Qualifying subjects: Students in 12th level must have passed with at least three subjects among Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology to be considered as from ‘Science stream.’

Channel Wise Eligibility:

  • For SCB channel: Students who are seeking admission through SCB channel must appear for IISER Aptitude test.
  • For KVPY channel: Students having valid KVPY fellowship starting from 2023-24 academic session are eligible for admission.
  • For JEE Advanced: Candidates applying through this channel, should have secured rank within 15000 in common rank list (for Gen/ OBC categories) or in respective category rank lists (for Gen-EWS/ OBC-NCL/ ST/ SC/PwD categories).

Note: Candidates taking admission under JEE Advanced channel or KVPY channel need not to appear for IAT 2023.

IISER 2023 Exam Pattern

Check details of IISER Exam pattern 2023 & marking scheme for IAT 2023 exam (SCB channel):

  • Mode of Examination: The mode of exam will be online mode (CBT).
  • Number of Questions: There will be 60 questions (15 questions in each section) in exam.
  • Duration: The exam duration is 3 hours.
  • Subject: Questions will be from various subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Types of Questions: The questions in paper will be multiple choice type of questions.
  • Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
  • Negative marking: -0.75 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

IISER IAT 2023 for SCB channel will follow syllabus generally from NCERT syllabus of class 11th & 12th.

IISER 2023 Admit Card

IISER 2023 Admit cards will be released from June 2023 through online mode. Candidates have to enter their login details to download the IISER Admit card. The admit card will contain details such as name, roll number, day and date of examination, test venue, etc.

Candidates should carry their admit card on the day of examination as no one will be allowed to enter the examination hall. Authority will release the admit card for every registered candidate on the website.

IISER 2023 Answer Key

IISER Answer Key 2023 will be release from second week of July 2023. The answer key will be available in PDF format.

If any candidate has any doubt or complaint regarding the key questions, the same shall be submitted to the authority. The objection facility will be also opened for challenging the answer key. The final answer key will be released after the completion of the objection facility.

IISER Admission 2023 Result/ Merit List

IISER Result 2023 will be released from August 2023 by online mode. Candidates can check their result by entering their roll number & registration id. Those candidates who will score higher marks and qualify the cut off will be selected in the merit list released of selected candidates.

Candidates can register for seat allotment, after the declaration of result. The allocation of seats will be done on the basis of merit secured in the exam.

IISER 2023 Cut Off

Students who will appear in IISER IAT 2023 for admission through SCB channel are required to qualify test by securing cut off marks. IISER Cut Off 2023 will be released on the website as per various boards with their percentage scores.

IISER 2023 Admission

On the basis of JEE Advanced & KVPY scores, 50% seats of IISER institutions will be filled. The remaining seats will be filled through SCB (State and Central Board) which is based on the IISER Aptitude Test 2023.

The allotment of seats will be based on the candidate’s preferences, merit list, availability of seats. Top candidates who qualify the KVPY & JEE Advanced exam will get admission into IISERs. Students on the day of reporting must accompany with their documents for the verification process.
