IISER (Institutes of Science Education & Research) exam is conducted every year, through which candidates are offered admission to 4 years BS & 5 years BS-MS programs in various disciplines. IISER Admission 2023 Result/ Merit List

IISER Result 2023 has been declared on 3rd July 2023 by online mode. Candidates can check their result by entering their roll number & registration id. Those candidates who have scored higher marks and qualify the cut off will be selected in the merit list released of selected candidates.

Candidates can register for seat allotment, after the declaration of result. The allocation of seats will be done on the basis of merit secured in the exam.

IISER 2023 Cut Off

Students who have appeared in IISER IAT 2023 for admission through IAT channel are required to qualify test by securing cut off marks. IISER Cut Off 2023 has been released on the website as per various boards with their percentage scores.

IISER 2023 Admission

On the basis of JEE Advanced & KVPY scores, 50% seats of IISER institutions will be filled. The admission will be filled through IAT which is based on the IISER Aptitude Test 2023 for further seats.

The allotment of seats is based on the candidate’s preferences, merit list, availability of seats. Top candidates who have qualified the KVPY & JEE Advanced exam can get admission into IISERs. Students on the day of reporting must accompany with their documents for the verification process.

IISER 2023 Answer Key

IISER Provisional Answer Key 2023 has been released from 18th June 2023. The answer key has been made available in PDF format.If any candidate has any doubt or complaint regarding the key questions, the same shall be submitted to the authority.

The objection facility is also opened for challenging the answer key from 20th to 22nd June 2023. The final answer key has been released after the completion of the objection facility. It has been released on 28th June 2023.

Answer: Students who have passed class 12th in 2021 are not eligible to apply. Only students who have passed out in 2022 or 2023 are eligible.

Answer: The degree is awarded by individual IISERs as each IISER is an autonomous institution.

Answer: The application form submission for IISER 2023 is started from 15th April 2023.

  • IISER 2023 Application form for IAT, KVPY has been started from 15th April 2023 through online mode.
  • For JEE Advanced, applications is made available from 25th June 2023.
  • The application form are only available via online mode & made available to eligible candidates only. Candidates must ensure they fulfill the complete eligibility criteria of IISER.
  • Students can apply for all IISERs through common application form.
  • Last date to submit application for IAT, KVPY channel is till 25th May 2023. For JEE Advanced, last date to apply will be till 30th June 2023.
  • Application correction has been started from 28th May 2023 and continued till 29th May 2023.
  • Take the printout of the application form and payment receipt after submission of form.

  • IISER 2023 application fee submission process can only be done by using the Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, and other online payment gateways.
  • Fee is non-refundable in nature.

IISER 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Following we have provided IISER Eligibility criteria which candidates must satisfy to be eligible to apply for IISER 2023:

General Eligibility (All channels):

  • Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian national or PIOOCI.
  • Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent level exam with science stream in 2022 or 2023 from any board recognized by Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE).
  • Qualifying marks: Candidates of General/ OBC & OBC-NCL category should have scored minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination (55% marks for SC/ ST PWD candidates.
  • Qualifying subjects: Students in 12th level must have passed with at least three subjects among Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology to be considered as from ‘Science stream.’

Channel Wise Eligibility:

  • For IAT channel: Students who are seeking admission through IAT channel must appear for IISER Aptitude test.
  • For KVPY channel: Students having valid KVPY fellowship starting from 2023-24 academic session are eligible for admission.
  • For JEE Advanced: Candidates applying through this channel, should have secured rank within 15000 in common rank list (for Gen/ OBC categories) or in respective category rank lists (for Gen-EWS/ OBC-NCL/ ST/ SC/PwD categories).

Note: Candidates taking admission under JEE Advanced channel or KVPY channel need not to appear for IAT 2023.

IISER 2023 Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Examination: The mode of exam is online mode (CBT).
  • Number of Questions: There will be 60 questions (15 questions in each section) in exam.
  • Duration: The exam duration is 3 hours.
  • Subject: Questions will be from various subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Types of Questions: The questions in paper will be multiple choice type of questions.
  • Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
  • Negative marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

IISER IAT 2023 syllabus follows the syllabus generally from NCERT syllabus of class 11th & 12th.

Mathematics:

Inverse Trigonometric Functions,  Sets, Relations and Functions, Trigonometric Functions, Principle of Mathematical Induction, Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations, Linear Inequalities, Permutations and Combinations, Binomial Theorem, Sequences and Series, Straight Lines, Conic Sections, Introduction to Three-Dimensional Geometry, Limits and Derivatives, Mathematical Reasoning Statistics, etc.

Chemistry:

IISER 2023 Admit Card

IISER 2023 Admit cards has been released from 10th June 2023 through online mode. Candidates have to enter their login details to download the IISER Admit card. The admit card contain details such as name, roll number, day and date of examination, test venue, etc.

Candidates should carry their admit card on the day of examination as no one will be allowed to enter the examination hall. Authority will release the admit card for every registered candidate on the website.
