It is a university level entrance exam conducted to provide admission into various undergraduate & postgraduate courses. Those candidates who are interested in pursuing a degree in maritime studies in IMU widely opt for this entrance examination.

IMU CET conducts an All India basis for admission to its programmes for IMU campuses, Affiliated Institutes and Non-Affiliated Institutes with IMU. Candidates can get admission in any one of the six campuses located in Cochin, Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai & Chennai. IMU CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

Know complete eligibility norms of IMU CET 2026 before applying: 

For B.Tech Programme: 

• Qualification: Applying candidates must qualify class 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board and institution to be eligible. 
• Marks: In the qualifying exam, candidates must secure 60% marks in PCM (55% for SC/ST category candidates) & 50% marks in English for all category candidates. 
• Subjects: Applicants must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) and English in the qualifying exam. 
• Medical: Qualified candidates have to submit a Physical fitness certificate. 
• Age: The age limit for males is 25 years for General category, 28 Years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), & 30 years for SC/ST category candidates. For Females & transgender individuals, the age limit is 27 years for general, 30 Years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layers) & 32 years for SC/ST category candidates. 
• Appearing: Those appearing candidates in class 12th are also eligible for admission. 

For M.Tech Programme: 

• Qualification: Candidates must be graduated in Engineering to apply. 
• Marks: In qualifying exams, candidates must score at least 55% marks (45% marks for SC/ST category candidates) aggregate marks. 
• Medical Eligibility: Those qualifying candidates must submit the Physics Fitness Certificate. 

For MBA Programme: 

• Qualification: Candidates must hold a Graduation Degree in any discipline to apply for MBA. 
• Marks: In graduation, candidates must secure 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST category candidates).  
• Age Limit: There are no age limit criteria to apply for admission. 
• Appearing: Candidates appearing in their graduation final year can also apply for the exam.
