JEST 2023 Application Correction can be done till 6th March 2023. Application Form has been extended till 3rd March 2023. JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test) is a national eligibility test conducted to offer admission to Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. courses in Physics or Neuroscience, Theoretical Computer Science, and Computational Biology. This exam is every year organized by SERB (Science and Engineering Research Board).

Successfully qualifying this exam will enable candidates to take admission into participating institutions (IISc, IIST, NISER, etc.). These participating institutions will have their own criteria for shortlisting the candidates. Here, we have provided complete details about JEST Application Form 2023.

• The registration process of JEST 2023 has been started from 28th January 2023.
• Students can register themselves through online mode.
• While registering candidates must make sure to go through complete registration instructions first.
• Last date to fill application form is till 3rd March 2023. 
• Candidates must register using valid email id as all the communication for various events will be done through it by the authority.
• Candidates can also make correction in the form from 3rd till 6th March 2023 by requesting via email @ [email protected].
• After submission of application, candidates receive an email with order number. Students must save this e-mail for further correspondence with the authority.
• If in case candidates does not receive above email after form submission, he/she must contact JEST authority.

Application Fee:

• The application fee is Rs. 800 (Rs.400 for ST/ SC male applicants & Non-ST/ SC females)
• For the female candidates of ST/ SC category, application fee is waived.
• Payment: The application fee can be paid by applicants through online mode using debit card/ credit cards/ net banking method. No other mode can be accepted for payment.

JEST 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must go through below given JEST Eligibility 2023 criteria before registering for exam:

Ph.D. Physics:

• Candidates applying for Ph.D. in physics must have MSc degree in physics from any recognized institute though some participating institute also allow M.Tech/ B.Tech./ MSc/ M.E in physics and mathematics.

Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc:

• Passed M.Tech/ M.E/ M.Sc in computer science and related disciplinesand should be interested in mathematical aspects of CS.

Integrated PhD programs in theoretical computer science:

• Applicant must have M.Sc/ B.E/ B.Tech/ MCA in computer science or other equivalent from any recognized board.
• candidates must pass M.Sc. (physics/ applied physics) / post B.Sc. (Hons.) in optics and optoelectronics/ radio physic and electronics.

PhD in Neuroscience at NBRC:

• Candidate must hold a degree certificate in B.Tech./ MCA/ B.E. or M.Sc. in either Physics & Mathematics from any recognized institution.

Ph.D. in Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc:

• Applying candidates must have passed M.Tech/ M.E./ MCA/ M/Sc with Computer science and mathematics from any recognised institution.

• Verify all the details before the submission.
• Upload your photograph and scanned signature as per the prescribed size and format mentioned by the authority.

• Fee payment can be made by students online using SBI E-pay.
• After submission of form and successful e-payment of application fee, the application will be submitted successfully.
