Tripura MBBS/ BDS 2023 Mop-Up Round Counselling Registration has been started through offline mode. Provisional Allotment List has been released on 29th August 2023 for Round 2. Provisional Allotment Result has been released on 4th August 2023 for Round 1. Choice Filing has been started from 1st August 2023.

Admission Procedure

The candidates have to appear in the NEET UG 2023 entrance exams and make it to the merit list of the same after which they must fill the application form for Tripura MBBS/BDS admission. Based on the application received and the category of the candidates, the Directorate of Medical Education has prepared a merit list and then subsequently the candidates who successfully make it to the merit list are called for document verification and will be allotted seat through counselling after medical check up.

Entrance Exam

Admission to Tripura MBBS 2023 is taken on the basis of the NEET UG scores. There will be no separate entity in the state of Tripura which provides any other form of entrance exam through which admission into MBBS and BDS courses can take place in the state of Tripura.  Every aspirant who wants to study medicine and dental courses in Tripura has to qualify the NEET 2023 examinations.

Tripura MBBS/BDS Admission 2023

Eligibility:

• The Candidates applying for the MBBS & BDS course through NEET 2023 should be Indian citizens.
• The candidates must be of 17 years of age at least as on December 31, 2023.
• There is no upper age limit for NEET UG.
• Candidates must be permanent residents of the state in order to be eligible for Tripura MBBS admission 2023.
• The Candidates or their parents must have resided for a period of at least 10 years prior to the date of release of the NEET Application Form 2023 for UG examination.
• Candidates who are appearing in their class 12 examinations from any institution in Tripura and are not permanent residents of Tripura but children of officer(s) on deputation to the Government of Tripura/Central Government officer(s) serving in the state government for a continuous period of three years are also eligible to apply for admission to Tripura MBBS 2023.
• Candidates appearing for their Class 12 from any institution under Tripura Government who are not permanent residents but are children of ex-servicemen/defense personnel staying in Tripura for at least five years prior to the date of release of NEET UG application form are eligible to apply.
• Candidates must have passed Class 12 with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English from a board recognized by the Central/State government.
• Candidates must have passed in each of the mentioned individual subjects securing a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (General category), 45% (for Physically Handicapped (PH), unreserved) and 40% (for the reserved category including PH reserved) in them.
• Candidates must have secured the required minimum percentile in the NEET 2023 UG examination.
• Candidates who are children of either All India service officers born in Tripura cadre or employees of Tripura state government posted outside the state will be eligible (irrespective of their prior stay period)

Selection Process

Candidates who successfully secure qualifying marks in the NEET 2023 are called for the counselling. Tripura MBBS Admission 2023 is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education. Online counselling (85% Seats) is conducted for admission in MBBS courses. Seat Allotment are based on the merit list and the choices entered by the candidates during the NEET 2023 Counselling process. Following the allotment of seats, candidates would be needed to report to the allotted college for document verification and payment of fees and after verification of all the documents and eligibility check of the candidates a Bank Challan will be issued to successful candidates for deposition of the tuition fee. After depositing the tuition fee, candidate will again be needed to report to the college for the joining and medical checkup.
