UPSC NDA 2026 exam is organized at national level for selecting candidates in Defence Forces like Army, Navy and Air Force. It is organized two times in a year. Only 12th pass or appearing candidates will be eligible to apply for NDA.

NDA 2026 Application Form
Candidates interested in applying for NDA exam must check the apply details below:
- Candidates will be able to get the NDA application form 2026 only via online mode.
- UPSC will open the registration window two times in an academic year.
- The registration form will be released from 10th December 2025 for NDA-1 and 20th May 2026 for NDA-2.
- To fill up the application, firstly candidates have to create OTR profile on the website.
- If the candidates have already created their OTR profile they can directly proceed towards to fill up the application.
- Candidates must have a details of one photo ID proof like Aadhar Card/ Voter Card/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ School Photo ID/Any other photo ID Card generated by central/state government.
- The authority will also provide facility to withdraw the application form after the completion of application window.
- Candidates must submit the application before the last date, i.e. 30th December 2025 (NDA 1) and 9th June 2026 (NDA 2).
Application Fee:
- The application fee for NDA exam will be Rs.100/-.
- SC/ST, Female or Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs candidates are exempted from the application fee.
- The fee can be paid through Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment of any registered bank.
- For offline method, candidates can download the system generated Pay-In slip and pay in cash in any branch of SBI bank.
NDA 2026 Application Correction
After the closing of application window, UPSC will open the NDA application correction facility. It will be provided through online mode only. A seven days window will be opened to make correction in application form.
The correction will be commenced from first week of January 2026 (Session 1) and second week of June 2026 (Session 2). After this window, no correction facility will be entertained. To make correction, candidates will have to login in the registration platform and make the necessary correction.

NDA 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for NDA exam, candidates must check the eligibility given below:
- Nationality: Indian nationals, Subject of Nepal, a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam.
- Qualification: For Army wing, candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent exam organized by a State Education Board or a University. For Airforce & Naval wing, candidates must have qualified 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects.
- Age Limit: Candidates DOB should fall not earlier than 2nd July, 2007 and not later than 01st July, 2010 for NDA 1 2026.
- Gender & Marital Status: Only unmarried male/female candidates are eligible to apply for NDA.
- Appearing: Candidates appearing in the 12th or equivalent exam are also eligible to apply.
- Physical Standards: Applying candidates should be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy Examination (NA).

How to Apply for NDA 2026
Candidates can follow the given below steps to fill out the NDA 2026 Registration Form:
- Candidates have to visit the website of UPSC- upsc.gov.in (Link will be provided above).
- Go through the “Whats New” section and click on the “NDA Exam Notification”.
- For registration, you have click on “Click Here” option.
- The OTR window will be opened.
- If you are already registered, you can directly login and fill the form.
- If you are new candidates, click on “New Registration” option.
- Now, enter your basic details and complete the registration part.
- After registration, you have verify your Mobile Number and Email ID.
- Now, login again and fill other details in the application form.
- After filling the details, upload the scanned images of photograph and signature.
- Candidates also have to upload their 10th & 12th certificates, ID proof, category certificate (if applicable).
- After submitting the details, go through the latest notification section and click on “Click Here for Part-1”.
- Now, read and accept the declaration and proceed for “Click Here for Part-2”.
- Now, fill the remaining details like preferences etc.
- After that, make the fee payment through online or offline mode.
- Once the fee payment is successful, proceed for the “Center Selection & Agreeing to Declaration”.
- Select the center option and accept the declaration to final submit the application form.
