NID 2023 Correction has been started from 25th December 2022. Application Form can be filled till 25th December 2022 with late fee. National Institute of Design (NID) is an ‘Institute of National Importance’ which offers admission into own degrees – M.Des (2½ years duration) and B.Des (4 years duration). Admission is offered to the candidates on the basis of entrance test organized by the Institute known as NID DAT (NID Design Aptitude Test). The candidate’s admission depends upon their performance shown in two stages of DAT – NID DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. This test judges the candidate’s knowledge, skills and behavioral abilities. Qualified candidates will be successfully admitted into NID campuses situated at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Gandhinagar. • The online application process follows various steps – Online Signup/ Registration, Generation of login details, filling application details, uploading of documents/ images, paying of application fee and printing of application.

• Correction window is also provided for making changes in application details from 22nd to 25th December 2022.

NID 2022 Eligibility Criteria

For B.Des:

• Qualification: Candidates who have passed or will be appearing for higher secondary (12th level) in any stream from a recognized board/ university are eligible to apply.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after 1^st July 2003 (General & General EWS category); born on or after 1st July 1998 (PWD category); on or after 1st July 2000 (OBC-NCL, ST & SC Category) & born on or after 1st July 2003 (Overseas category).

For M.Des:

• Qualification: Candidates are eligible to apply for M.Des who – have Bachelor’s degree of 3 years duration in any specialization after 12th level or equivalent to 12^th OR
  Possess a bachelor’s degree of 4 years duration in any specialization after the 12thlevel or its equivalent from any university or institute recognized by law in India OR
  Has full-time diploma of 4 years duration in Design/ Applied Arts/ Fine Arts/ Architecture, after 12^th or equivalent to 12^th from any university or institute recognized by law in India.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after born on or after 1st July 1988 (OBC-NCL, ST & SC Category); born on or after 1st July 1991 (General & General EWS Category); born on or after 1st July 1991 (Overseas category) & born on or after 1st July 1986 (PWD Category).

How to Apply for NID DAT 2023

Follow the below given steps to fill NID DAT 2023 Application form:

• Visit the website (Link is given above).
• Signup/ Register yourself by providing details like course, nationality and category.
• Enter your valid email address, mobile number and generate OTP. Validate OTP and generate login details.
• Now login with – Registration email id, DOB, password for further procedure.
• Start filling application details – Personal, Educational, etc. Check details before submission.
• Upload documents/ images of photograph and signature. Upload the photograph as per the instructions / format/ size mentioned in JPG/ JPEG. Photograph must be 75kb to 100kb in size and same for signature.
• Upload category certificate for reserved candidates of minimum size 75kb to 150kb.
• Now candidates are required to submit application fee as prescribed according to their category.
• Re -verify all the details filled in the application form and then finally submit it.
• Print application and fee receipt for any further use in admission procedure.
