PIET Admission 2025: Application Form, Dates, Eligibility Criteria

PIET 2025 Application Form will be made available through online mode in April 2025. PIET (Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology) is an autonomous institution. This admission procedure is organised to offer admission in the field of Engineering, Information Technology, Management, Pharmacy etc. The university also conducts an entrance exam by name PKAT (PIET Knowledge Aptitude Test). Admission is offered to candidates via entrance based exam and other national/state level entrance exams. The admission to B.Tech and Diploma courses will be offered on the basis of JEE Main/HSTES merit. PIET 2025 Application Form

Applicants must go through the given instructions and information related to PIET 2025 Application form:

• The PIET Application Form 2025 will be made available for various courses through  online mode only.
• The application form of PIET 2025 will be filled and submitted by candidates from first week of April 2024.
• Candidates are advised to meet the eligibility criteria required for admission before filling the application form.
• During registration, candidates must not forget to provide their valid basic and communication details.
• While filling the application form, enter basic details like educational details, personal details, address details.
• The application form will be completed only after uploading scanned images of photograph and signature as per the given specification.
• Candidates must fill in correct details in the application form, as there will be no correction window available for modification.
• Candidates must take a hardcopy of application form after final submission for further usage in admission.

Application Fee:

• Application fee will be paid for concerned applying courses through online and offline mode.
• Candidates will be able to make online payment through HDFC fee portal/debit card/credit card/net banking etc.
• Offline fee will be transacted through DD in favor of ‘Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology’ payable at Panipat/ Samalkha.

How to Apply for PIET 2025

  • Step-2: Press the “Registration” link on the homescreen.
  • Step-3: Fill in all the asked details like personal, address and academic details etc.
  • Step-4:  Now, Upload all the scanned images of Photograph and Signature in prescribed format.
  • Step-5: Submit the application fee as applicable.
  • Step-6: Preview all the details filled in the application form.
  • Step-7: Last, retain a copy of filled application form and keep it safe till all the admission procedure gets over.

PIET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the PIET Eligibility Criteria 2025 before applying for exam:

For B.Tech. Course:

• Qualification: Applicants must have passed class 12th level or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
• Marks: In the qualifying exam, candidates must have scored at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates).
• Subject: In the qualifying exam, candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as a mandatory subject with any one from Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Practice subjects.
• Scores: Candidates must have a valid rank in JEE Main exam to apply.

For BBA Course:

• Qualification: Applicants must hold a bachelors’ degree in any discipline from any recognized university to be eligible to apply.
• Marks: Candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks (47.50% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in the qualifying exam.  
• Scores: Applicants must have valid scores of CMAT/ MAT to be eligible to apply.
• Appearing: Appearing candidates in the final exam in 2025 will also be eligible to apply.

For MCA Course:

• Qualification: One must have qualified BCA/ bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or equivalent degree from any equivalent examination. OR
• Candidates passed in B.Sc./ B/Com/ BA with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduation level will also be eligible.
• Marks: Candidates with 50% marks (47.50 marks for SC/ ST) will be eligible to apply.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

PIET 2025 Entrance Exam (PKAT)

The PIET university will conduct an entrance exam known as PIET Knowledge Aptitude Test (PKAT). Examination will be held in May/ June 2024 via online mode. It is conducted to provide admission in various UG & PG level courses.

Some exceptions will be given to candidates who will secure rank below 150000 in JEE scored or above 1200 SAT exam. The exceptions will be 60% or above in CAT, 80% or above in MAT or score of 550 or above in GMAT for MBA candidates

PIET 2025 Merit List

The PIET Merit List 2025 will be released in the month of June/July 2025. The candidates  will be able to check or view their names in the merit list through online mode. On the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying exam, the admission procedure will be organised.

All those candidates who applied for PIET 2025 will be able to check their names and rank in the merit list. Candidates selected in the merit list will be eligible to appear for the further admission procedure.

PIET 2025 Cut Off

The PIET Cut Off 2025 will consist of minimum passing marks which a candidate will have to achieve in order to get selected for admission in PIET. After the announcement of the result, the authority will release the cut off marks.

While preparing the cut off marks, the authority will consider the number of students applying, availability of seats, reservation of seats, number of candidates shortlisted etc.

PIET 2025 Counselling

The PIET Counselling 2025 will be organized by the authority for all the shortlisted candidates in merit list. The counselling procedure of PIET 2025 will be organised in month of July/ August 2025. Applicants will be given admission to B.Tech./B.E through three online off campus counselling procedures. 

The counselling procedure of PIET 2025 will be organised on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in entrance exam. The university will organize first two rounds of counselling on the basis of JEE Main inter-se-merit. The admission to MBA courses will be provided to candidates through institute level manual counselling & merit of qualifying exam.
