UGC NET Result 2026

The provisional result of the examination will be declared in July 2026 for June Exam. It will be declared after the successful completion of the examination for June session. The candidates need to check their results through online mode.

The NTA does not issue the mark sheet for qualified or non-qualified candidates. Candidates must take a printout of UGC NET 2026 result for further use.

UGC NET 2026 Result Date

The NTA will declared the UGC NET result 2026 through online mode. The exam for June session will be conducted from 22nd to 30th June 2026 & for December session, it will be conducted from December 2026 to January 2027. Result for the December session will be declared in February 2027.

Candidates must check their results by entering their application number, and password on the website login page. No candidates are informed individually about the release of their result. The marks of all the candidates are uploaded on the website after the declaration of result.

How to Check UGC NET Result 2026

• Go to the official website of NTA (Link will be given above).
• A new result page is opened on the screen.
• Enter your application number, and password, and click on the submit button.
• Your result will appear in the PDf format.
• Download it and take a printout of the result for further processing.

UGC NET Answer Key 2026

After the successful completion of UGC NET examination, the exam conducting authority will release the answer key for 55 NET subjects in July 2026. UGC NET answer key will be released via online mode. The final answer key will also published after submission of objections.

Authority will also provided the facility to challenge the OMR Sheet/ answer key for candidates. To challenge each question, candidates must submit Rs. 200/. If the challenge is accepted by the authority, the fee will be refunded.

Minimum Marks Obtained In UGC NET 2026

UGC NET Merit List 2026

A separate category-wise and subject-wise merit list will be prepared for the candidates those obtained the qualifying percentile of marks. Top 15% of candidates from the merit list is declared NET qualified for eligibility for the Assistant Professor only.

Among NET qualified candidates, a separate merit list is prepared for the award of JRF. The qualifying marks criteria set by the NTA/ UGC will be final.

UGC NET 2026 Selection Procedure

Candidates qualifying for the entrance exam UGC NET 2026 will get selected in a subject & category wise merit list. Top 6% of total students who have appeared for both papers in the test will be considered qualified for entrance test.

Candidates seeking admission into various Indian universities/ institutions, the position of Assistant Professor/ JRF will be offered on the cut-off score secured as per the category
