The Pharmaceutical College, Bargarh
The Pharmaceutical College was established in the year 1986 at Barpali. The Institution has aim for the development of Pharmacy professional in the society. The Institution is approved by All India Council for Technical Education & Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. It is affiliated to Odisha State Board of Pharmacy, Odisha & Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha.
The Institute has shifted to a new campus in the year 2003 which is situated at Tingipali, 4 Kms away from Barpali beside NH-201. The campus is situated in a single piece of land of 5.52 acres with infrastructure having academic and administrative building along with Principal’s Quarter, Guest Rooms, Staff Quarters and Girls’ Hostel as residential facilities in the campus.
There are many facilities which are provided by the institution for the students. It has spacious classrooms and tutorial rooms, laboratories, computer centre, library, Pharmaceutical labs, hostel facility, sports and transport facilities. There are animal house and medicinal plant garden covering a large area of total area of the campus adorned with more than 36 medicinal plants. The institution also provides extracurricular activities like NSS, NCC, cultural and many others.
The Pharmaceutical College, Barpali is imparting Degree and Diploma courses in Pharmacy with intake capacity 60 each. The Institute also offers 2 years PG course in three specializations with intake capacity of 42. The courses offered in the field of Pharmacy are given below:
The institution has the Training and Placement Cell to organize and co-ordinate different Industrial visits, training during the course and placement after completion of course in various reputed Pharmaceutical units. The cell organizes the campus placement for the last year students and invites the industries from various places. Many students are working in various reputed industries at present.
