Shiv Nadar University Chennai 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

Complete SNU Chennai 2026 eligibility norms is mentioned below: 

For B.Tech Course: 

• Qualification: Applying candidates must have qualified class 12th level or equivalent from any recognized board. 
• Marks: In the qualifying exam, candidates must score a minimum 75% marks. 
• Subjects: To be eligible, candidates must have Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (PCM)
• Appearing: Those appearing candidates in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply. 

For B.Sc. Course:

• Qualification: To be eligible, candidates must have passed class 12th level exam from a recognized board. 
• Subject: Candidates must have Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry as one of the mandatory subjects in the qualifying exam. 
• Appearing: Applicants appearing for the qualifying exam in 2026 exam will also be eligible to apply for admission. 

For B.Com/ B.Com (Hons) Course: 

• Qualification: One must have passed class 12th grade or equivalent from any recognized board to be eligible. 
• Subject: To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed with Commerce and Accountancy as a mandatory subject along with one of Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science subjects. 
• Appearing: Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam will also be eligible to apply for admission. 

SNU Chennai 2026 Admission Procedure 

There will be different stages in the admission procedure of SNU Chennai 2026. Appearing candidates will have to fill an application form through online mode & choose the date & slot for examination. Moreover, admission will be offered through JEE Main scores for some seats.

On the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in entrance exam/ other national level exam score & interview, admission will be given to the candidates. Candidates will have to participate in counselling/ interview rounds to get admission into various offered courses. 

SNU Chennai 2026 Entrance Exam (SNUCEE)

To provide admission into various courses, Shiv Nadar University conducts its own entrance exam called SNUCEE. Shiv Nadar University Chennai Entrance Examination (SNUCEE) is conducted at university level in different phases through online mode. 

SNU Chennai 2026 exam for phase I will be conducted on 11th April 2026 & on 16th April 2026 for Phase II. A total of 2 hours will be given to solve the question paper. There will be two parts in exam Part A (Aptitude Test) & Part B (Subject Matter Test). Both parts will be scored out of a total of 100 marks. Each question carries a negative mark of wrong answer, equal to 25% of the mark for the question. 

SNU Chennai 2026 Result/ Merit List 

Result for SNU Chennai 2026 will be announced through online mode. Candidates will have to visit the website to download the result. University will release a merit list for shortlisted candidates. A separate merit list will be released for each course offered by the university on the website. 

Based on the performance of candidates in the entrance exam, a merit list will be prepared by the university. Selected candidates in the merit list will be called to participate in further admission & interview rounds. 

SNU Chennai 2026 Cut Off 

University will release the SNU Chennai 2026 cut off through online mode. In order to select the eligible candidates for admission into various UG & PG courses, cut off will be determined. 

There will be various factors on which cut off marks will be decided by the university i.e number of candidates applying, number of qualified candidates, difficulty level of exam, cut off trends, etc. To be eligible for participation in further counselling procedure, candidates must secure the qualifying cut off marks. 

SNU Chennai 2026 Counselling 

Those shortlisted candidates in entrance exam will be eligible for SNU Chennai 2026 counselling procedure. Based on the final merit list, counselling will be organized by the university. There will be various rounds in counselling for all the registered candidates.

Counselling will be organized based on the availability of seats after each round of counselling. For admissions, performance of candidates in SNUCEE exam, personal interview and marks secured by the candidates in class 12th exam will be taken into consideration. Candidates will have to carry the original documents for verification procedure during the counselling process.
