bitsatThe BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test) is a University level entrance test organized by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. It is organized to provide admission in first year degree in various UG and PG programmes like B.Tech, B.Pharma and M.Sc courses. The BITS offers admission in three campuses i.e. BITS Pilani Campus, K. K. Birla Goa Campus and Hyderabad Campus. It is one of the most sought university entrance exam by the students wishing to get admission in BITS campuses. The exam was conducted through CBT (Computer Based Test) on 16th May – 30th May 2017. Admission Process

BITSAT 2017 Admission process has been started after result declaration. Candidates can apply for admission from 1st June 2017. First rank students of all the state and central board of India will be given direct admission to the courses of their choices. The wait list will be declared on 1st July 2017. Candidates applying for admissions are required to submit the admission application with 12th marks and preferences to different degree programmes offered with required application fee before the due date at the address given below:

BITSAT 2018 will be managed by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test) is university level exam conduct for admission into  all the degree courses offered by BITS & its other campuses. Candidates will fill the application form from the 2nd week of January 2018.



BITSAT 2017 Application Form

  • Candidates can fill and submit the BITSAT 2017 Application Form online through the official website of BITSAT.
  • The applications form was available from 29th December 2016. The last date was extended till 10th March 2017.
  • Offline application forms was not be available for this exam.
  • The application fee for BITSAT exam is RS.2750/- (Rs.2250/- for female candidates).
  • If candidate has opted Dubai as a test center, the application fee will be US $60 (Rs.4000/-) for both male and female candidates.
  • The application fee payment can be made through net banking, credit/debit card or by cash payment at any branch of ICICI Bank.
  • Candidates are suggested to keep the printout of filled application form for further use.

BITSAT Eligibility

Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam:

  • For admission to all programmes (except B.Pharma): Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Subjects
  • For admission in B.Pharma: Candidates must have cleared 12th or equivalent exam with PCB or PCM group with English subject.
  • Candidates must have obtained 75% marks in PCB or PCM group.
  • Candidates appearing in qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
  • Aspirants who have passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2015 or earlier are not eligible to apply.

BITSAT 2017 Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted through online mode (computer based mode).
  • Sections: The question paper will consist of four sections.
  • Duration: The exam duration will be three hours.
  • No of Questions: The question paper will comprises of 150 objective type questions.
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct response three marks will be awarded.
  • Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
    • Negative marking will not be considered for no response.

FAQ’s (Most Asked Questions)

Answer: Candidates can write BITSAT 2017 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2. However they will be eligible to apply only for the B.Pharma programme. They will not be eligible for any other first degree program of institute.
Answer: Corrections in application form can be done during 7th March to 10th March 2017. The link is given above.
Answer: If you are repeating 12th exam, you should do it for the all the subjects as required by the board to pass 12th again. If you take improvement exams in PCM/PCB only, you are not eligible.
Answer: For CBSE, include PCM and English/Hindi and one additional elective (total five subjects) in your aggregate. For ISCE, include PCM and English in the aggregate.  Others should calculate the aggregate marks (or its equivalent) and attach a note explaining the method used by them to calculate the aggregate.
Answer: It is not possible to predict the cut-off scores till all applications are received.
Answer: Unfortunately No. After the last date for registering for BITSAT 2017 no one can apply. Except for first rank students of central/state boards in India, those who have not registered in BITSAT 2017 cannot be considered now.
Answer: No. A single form is sufficient, where you can give your preferences to all the first degree programmes except B.Pharma. Programme for all the three campuses.

BITSAT 2017 Admit Card

The authority has released the revised admit card of BITSAT 2017 exam from 26th May 2017. After registering for the test and reserve test dates, candidates can download their BITSAT 2017 Admit Card. The admit card can be downloaded through the above link. Candidates note down it is mandatory to bring the admit card at the examination center. BITSAT hall ticket 2017 will contain the address of exam venue, test timing, personal details of candidates and a photo.

BITSAT 2017 Answer Key

The answer key will be released via online mode through the website. The answer key will be published in the month of May 2017. The answer key will bear the correct answer of the questions asked in the examination. With the help of answer key students can calculate their rough marks or compare their answers as they have marked in the exam.

BITSAT 2017 Result

The BITSAT 2017 Result (Scores) has been released for candidates who have already appeared in the exam. Candidates can check their result through the official portal of BITSAT (link is given above). Candidates are advised to take printout of the results and keep it safe till the admission procedure. Candidates will not be permitted to re-appear for the test in the same year. A merit list will be prepared for admission on the basis of marks scored in the BITSAT exam.
