Admission Procedure
In Kolkata city, the admissions in four years of B.Tech courses can be done through national level entrance examination and state level entrance exam.
Candidates with higher rank in the entrance test is given preference in allotting the seats in Engineering courses. To get seats in the colleges, it is necessary to participate in the counselling procedure. After the seat allocation, candidates are required to report to the allotted college to complete admission process.
Entrance Exams
JEE Main is the national level entrance test on the basis of which candidates can get admission to B.Tech programme. NTA is the exam conducting authority of JEE Main 2024.
Candidates can also appear in the state level entrance exam, i.e. WBJEE 2024 (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) for admissions in engineering programmes.
For admissions in IITs, candidates have to pass both JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2024 entrance exams. Through GATE 2024 entrance examination, candidates can get admission in the PG courses of engineering (M.Tech).
Interested students can apply for these entrance test through online mode. Students must fill the application form before the due date, as no application is accepted by the authority after the due date.
