CUCET 2017Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a national level entrance test that is organized jointly by the eight central universities together. The Eight universities are: Central University of Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Jammu, Kerala, Punjab, Kashmir, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. This test is conducted for admission into the UG/Integrated Programme, Post Graduate Programme and Research Programme in various educational and professional field respectively in these eight Central Universities. The examination commences once in a year in the month of June. Here, we are providing the detailed information about CUCET 2017 including application form, exam dates, eligibility and syllabus.

CUCET Application Form 2017

  • The application form will be available only through online process from the official site.
  • There is no provision for offline application form.
  • The CUCET 2017 Application Form will be available from the first week of April 2017 (tentative).
  • The last date to submit the application form will be the first week of May 2017 (tentative).
  • Candidates can pay the fee through online or offline mode.
  • After the submission of the online application form with online payment an automated e-mail and SMS will be sent to the candidate maid ID & mobile number.
  • Those candidates made payment through Challan they have to wait for 7 days after submission of the form.
  • Candidates can apply for a particular course for a maximum of the three PUs (Participating Universities) with a maximum of three options of programmes in each of the selected PU.

CUCET Eligibility Criteria

Here, we are providing the eligibility criteria to appear CUCET 2017 entrance examination. Different universities have different eligibility criteria for their different courses. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply.

CUCET 2017 Exam Pattern

  • Papers: Question paper will comprises of PART A and PART B.
  • No. of Questions: The question paper will be consisted of 100 MCQs (multiple choice questions).
    • PART A will be consisted of 25 questions.
    • PART B will be contained 75 MCQs questions and consisted of five sections.
    • Each section will have 25 questions.
    • There is a provision that a candidate will require to answer a set of any three sections (75 questions).
    • For Integrated Courses/MBA/MCA/LLB/LLM or any other general course(s), only one paper will be conducted which will contain 100 objective types questions.
  • Language: The language of the question paper will be in English.
  • Duration: The duration of each paper will be two hours.
  • Negative Marking: There will be NO negative marking.

CUCET Syllabus

The syllabus of CUCET 2017 is different for particular courses. The syllabus of PG courses will be separate for their prescribed courses.

  • Syllabus for UGO 1:

This paper will contain of two parts: PART A and PART B. PART A comprises of Language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude and analytical skills topics. PART B consists of topics of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

  • Syllabus for UGO 2:

The syllabus will be consisting of the topics of the following disciplines: English, Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude, and General Knowledge.

  • Syllabus for M.Phil/ Ph.D Research Programme:

The syllabus of M.Phil and/or Ph.D Research Programme will be comprise as that prescribed for the UGC-CSIR/others NET-JRF Exam.

CUCET 2017 Admit Card

Candidates can get their admit card from the official website. The CUCET 2017 Admit Card will be released on the third week of May 2017 (tentative). The admit card will be consisted of personal details of the candidates such as candidate name, roll number and exam venue, date etc.

CUCET 2017 Result

The Results will be announced in the third week of June 2017 (tentative). CUCET 2017 Result will be declared on the official portal. On the bases of the performance of the candidate, the merit list will be prepared. After the publication of the merit list candidate have to attend the counseling process for seat allotment.

CUCET 2017 Counselling

After the result announcement, the counseling process will be beginning. The CUCET 2017 Counselling process will consist of online allotment of seats and document verification. The counselling will be conducted only for the selected candidates. The seat will be allotted on the basis of the candidate’s rank and availability of seats for the preferred course.

  • 10th/12th Mark sheets and Passing Certificate
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree
  • CUCET 2017 Admit Card
  • Original ID Proof
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Qualified National Level Exam Score Card (if applicable)
  • Caste Certificate

CUCET Admission Procedure

Admission will be handled at the level of each of these 8 central universities, for their respective courses. After the result declaration, the respective central universities will announce the schedule of counseling/admission and merit list on the weightage on CUCET 2017 score.

Admission Procedure for M.Phil and Ph.D Programme:

The admission process includes the written test and interview that will carry weightage of 60% and 40% respectively. Candidates, those qualify NET/JRF/SLET/Teacher Fellowship will be exempted from the written test. In this case, the interview will carry 100% weightage. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.

Note: Candidates who seeking admission in M.Phil Programmes and appear in CUCET 2017 will not be considered in ‘Exemption Category’ and in such case, interview will have the weightage of 40 marks.

    Sir,I appeared cucet in 2016 Nd secured 120…I opted Karnatak,Hariyana and Rajasthan… Unfortunately I couldn’t know the first selection counseling date for Karnataka…but sir I registered myself at Hariyana..but why I couldn’t eligible even the last selection cut off was 97 for general..
