IISc Admission 2021: Counselling, Interview, Cut Off (Out), Admission

IISc Admission 2021IISc 2021 Rank Updation is open till 6th November 2021 for BSc Research (through NEET -UG). Cut Off has been released on 14th April 2021. Indian Institute of Science (IISc) will provide admission to various UG & PG programmes through JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, CEED, UGC NET, KVPY, and other national test. Candidates can get admission in various UG, PG, and Ph.D. level courses. For admission into M.Des course candidates will get selected on the basis of GATE/ CEED scores following a design aptitude test & interview. Candidates must have to appear for GD & PI interview rounds after getting shortlisted based on GATE/ CAT/ GMAT scores in M.Tech & M.Mgt programmes. IISc 2021 Rank List

IISc Rank List will be announced once the application form will get submitted. It will be based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination. It will be mandatory for all candidates to qualify any one test among KVPY, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, CAT, NEET, JEST, JAM, CSIR-UGC NET/ JRF, DBT JRF, CEED, JEST, and ICMR JRF to be eligible for admission into various courses.

There will be separate merit list for all the candidates. It will be prepared by the board belonging to reserved category. Candidates will be called for the interview process based on the merit list.

IISc 2021 Cut-off

IISc Cut-off is the minimum marks candidates will have to score to qualify the examination. It has been released via online mode. The cut-off has been released based on no. of students applying for the exam, difficulty level, previous year cut-off trend, and much more.

The cut-off for various categories will be published by the exam conducting authority. The expected cut-off for general category will be 60%, 50% for OBC-NCL, and 30% for reserved category candidates.

IISc 2021 Admission

IISc Admission into M.Tech & M.Des can be done through aptitude test & interview. The admission is offered only after being shortlisted through GATE/ CEED scores. Candidates can get admission as per the selection process of various courses.

Candidate’s selection will be done through national level scores followed by interview rounds. Eligible candidates on the bases of scores will get shortlisted in the merit list. Counselling will be held on 1st October 2021.

At the time of admission, candidates will have to bring following documents for submission & verification:

  • 10th& 12thlevel certificate & marksheet
  • Qualifying exam degree
  • Admit card of qualifying exam
  • Score card of qualifying exam
  • Domicile certificate
  • Resent passport size photograph
  • category certificate (if required)

Answer: Registration has been started from 22nd February 2021.

IISc 2021 Application Form

Candidates must go through following details regarding IISc Application Form:

  • The IISc 2021 Application Form has been made available from 22nd February 2021 for all UG, PG, and Ph.D courses.
  • Candidates are able to submit the application form till 15th June 2021 & 23rd June 2021 for UG & PG course respectively.
  • The application form can get released via online mode.
  • During registration, candidates must have to upload passport size photograph & signature in the prescribed format.
  • Candidates must also not forget to provide valid/ working email ID & phone number in the application form for further use.
  • At last, candidates must not forget to take multiple printout of filled in application form for further use.

Application Fee:

  • IISc Admission 2021 application fee can be paid through online mode.
  • The mode of payment includes credit card, debit card, net banking.

The application fee is different according to the course. The fee for UG & PG course will be as:

IISc Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must go through following details regarding IISc Eligibility Criteria:

For UG course:

  • Qualification: Candidates must qualify 12th examination form any recognized board or university to be eligible for the examination.
  • Mandatory Subject: Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subject to be eligible for the examination.
  • Percentage: Candidates must score 60% marks in the qualifying examination to be eligible.
  • Scorecard: Candidates must have valid KVPY, JEE Main, JEE Advance, NEET Scorecard.
  • Appearing: Candidates appearing in the 12th level examination will be also eligible for the examination.

For PG course (M.Tech):

  • Qualification: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (B.E/ B.Tech) or equivalent from any recognized board or university to be eligible.
  • Appearing: Candidates appearing in the last year of their degree will be also eligible for the examination.
  • Scorecard: Candidates must have valid score card or result of GATE 19/ 20/ 21, GMAT or CAT 2019.

For PG course (M.Mgt):

  • Qualification: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (B.E/ B.Tech) or equivalent from any recognized board or university to be eligible.
  • Scorecard: Candidates must have valid score card or result of GATE 19/ 20/ 21, GMAT or CAT 2019.
  • Appearing: Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination will be also eligible for the examination.

    1. JEE Main 2021 score will be valid for open year only, so you will have to attend JEE Main 2021 or IISc Exam for 2021 admission.

    1. JEE Main score will be valid for only one year so you will have to attend JEE Main 2022 to get admission in IISC 2022.
