Sikkim NEET 2023 CounsellingSikkim NEET 2023 Counselling (Round 2) is scheduled on 4th September 2023 through offline mode. The counselling procedure is managed by the Government of Sikkim, Human Resource Development Department. Candidates are able to apply through NEET score card. The NEET score card is accepted in almost every medical and dental college of Sikkim. The seats for the MBBS, BDS and some allied courses will be offered according to the rank of the candidates. Candidates those wishing to apply for government and private medical & dental colleges of Sikkim state can apply through NEET entrance examination. Candidates will have to register on the website and fill the application form. After submitting the application fee, candidates will be considered for the counselling through state merit list.

On the basis of state merit list candidates will be selected for the counselling. The counselling will be consisting of the document verification, choice filing and choice locking & seat allotment procedure.

Sikkim MBBS/ BDS Counselling Schedule 2023

Following are the tentative dates for Sikkim State NEET 2023 counseling rounds:

Selection & Admission Procedure

The selection/ admission process will be followed by the procedure which is given below:

Registration:

  • Registration will be the mandatory procedure to participate in the counselling.
  • It will be done through the online mode as per the schedule.
  • Candidates must take the printout of registration to produce at the time of document verification.
  • Candidates will have to pay the counselling fee through Demand Draft.

Document Verification:

  • The next step will be document verification process. In this step, candidates have to verify their original documents.
  • Candidates also have to bring the Xerox copy of all required documents.

Choice Filling & Locking:

  • In this step, candidates will be able to fill their choices of courses and colleges where they are looking for admission.
  • Candidates can fill choices as much as they can as per their preferences.
  • After a choice filling step, candidates will have to lock their filled choices.
  • Candidates are advised not to forget to take the printout of filled & locked choices.

Allocation of Seats:

  • The seats will be allotted to the candidates according to the candidate’s rank, filled choices and availability of seats in the participating colleges.
  • The seat allotment result can be checked from the website as per the schedule.
  • Candidates should download the provisional seat allotment letter to report at the allotted college for admission.

Reporting to the Allotted College:

  • Candidates should report to the allotted college to them within the prescribed time limit.
  • Candidates should carry the original documents at the time of reporting.
  • Without having original documents candidate’s admission will be cancelled.

Reservation Criteria

The reservation of seats in Sikkim will be fixed by the Government of Sikkim. In every medical or dental college, some seats will be reserved for each category. Candidates must have produced the proof of reserve category in the format given in the brochure. The reservation will be given to the following categories which are given below:

  • Merit – 10%
  • Bhutia and Lepcha – 20%
  • Primitive Tribe – 05%
  • Central OBC – 20%
  • Schedule Tribe – 13%
  • Schedule Castes – 07%
  • Others – 05%

Candidates are advised to carry the documents given below to attend the counselling.

  • NEET Rank Card
  • Allotment Letter
  • 10th Mark Sheet &12th Mark Sheet
  • Caste Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate
  • PH Certificate
  • 4 Passport Size Photographs
  • Printout of Registration Form
  • Valid Demand Draft
