WBJEE 2024 Admit Card has been released on 18th April 2024. Exam Date has been announced. Examination is conducted through offline mode every year. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is a state level entrance exam. The exam will be conducted to provide admission in various Undergraduate courses. The exam will be conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. Selected candidates will be able get admission in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture courses in Government colleges and Self-financing Engineering & Technological institutes in West Bengal state. WBJEE 2024 Admit Card
The WBJEE 2024 admit card will release from 18th- 28th April 2024. To download admit card candidates have to enter login ID and password. Admit card will be made available through online mode.
The admit card will contain all the essential details like candidate name, roll no, venue of the exam, date, and time. The candidates need to carry the admit card with them while appearing for the examination, no candidates will be allowed to enter the hall without admit card.
WBJEE 2024 Exam Pattern
Candidates must check the exam pattern for WBJEE 2024 given below:
- Exam mode: The paper will be conduct through offline mode.
- Type of Questions: The questions will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Marks: Paper will contain total 200 marks.
- Duration: The duration of exam will be 2 hours to solve the paper.
- Total questions: There will be total 155 questions in the exam.
- Negative Marking: ¼ mark will be deducted for incorrect response.

WBJEE 2024 Syllabus
WBJEE syllabus will be based on various subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates can check some of the important topics from the syllabus below:
Chemistry: Atoms, Molecules and Chemical Arithmetic, Atomic Structure, radioactivity, The periodic table and chemical families, chemical bonding and molecular structure, solid state, coordination compounds, chemical equilibria, chemical dynamics, latheniods, surface chemistry, environmental chemistry.
Mathematics: Algebra, Trigonometry, coordinate geometry of two dimensions, calculus, vectors, statistics, and probability, sets, relations and mapping, binomial theorem, permutation and combination, polynomial equations, application of calculus, slope of line, equation of a circle, vector.
Physics: Physical world, measurements, units & dimensions, kinematics, laws of motion, gravitation, bulk properties of matter, viscosity, thermodynamics, kinetic theory of gases, oscillations & waves, electrostatics, current electricity, magnetic effect of current, optics, atomic physics.
WBJEE 2024 Preparation Tips
Following are the preparation tips for better preparation of WBJEE 2024 examination:
- Make a timetable in such a way that you can give proper attention to all the subjects.
- Candidates must first get complete details about the exam pattern & syllabus
- Go through the previous year’s question papers as they will give you an idea about the type of questions asked.
- Applicants must solve previous year question and sample papers.
- Take a break in between to maintain concentration.

WBJEE 2024 Answer Key
The WBJEE 2024 Answer Key will be released by the authority through online mode. The answer key will be released in first week of May 2024. It will consist correct answers to each asked question in the entrance examination.
WBJEE Answer key will be available in PDF format. If candidate will not be satisfied with the answer then they will be able to raise the objection by paying Rs. 500/- as processing fee. The final answer key will declare in third week of May 2024 after completing the objections.
WBJEE 2024 Result
WBJEE 2024 Result will be declared in fourth week of May 2024. It will be published in the form of rank card which will contain details such as ranks, total score, and component scores of different sections. Applicants will be able to view their result by logging with their password.
The WBJEE Result 2024 will be prepared by the authority on the basis of the final answer key. The candidate needs to take the printout of the WBJEE 2024 result for the further counselling procedure.
WBJEE 2024 Cut Off
WBJEE Cut off 2024 will be released by the authority on the website. Candidates will be able to check it through online mode only. It will be released for various categories by the authority. There will be various factors such as availability of seats, difficulty level of exam, previous year cut off trends etc. depending on which the cut off marks will be released.
As per the categories and branches chosen by the candidates, the cut off ranks will be available. The WBJEE 2024 ranks of the candidates will decide that students will be selected for further admission procedure or not.
WBJEE 2024 Counselling
The WBJEE 2024 counselling will be organized for the candidates who will successfully clear the exam. Counselling will commence in fourth week of May 2024 through online mode. Authority will conduct the counselling procedure in various rounds as per the availability of seats after each round of counselling.
The course-wise and institute wise availability of seats will be provided by the competent authorities and will also be published before WBJEE allotment/ counselling. The candidates need to report on time for the counselling process with some of the important documents. Candidates will also have to bring their original document for verification round.

WBJEE 2024 Application Form
Here are details about WBJEE 2024 Application Form with some other instructions:
- WBJEE Application Form has been released on 28th December 2023.
- The application form for WBJEE 2024 has been released through online mode. No offline facility is provided.
- Candidates must fill the application form with details such as personal, educational qualifications, contact details, etc.
- Upload the passport size scanned photograph, signature, and relevant certificate.
- The last date to submit the application form is till 31st January 2024.
- The authority will provide the correction facility to the applicants from 7th- 9th February 2024.
- Submit the application form and take printout of the same for future reference.
Application Fee:
- WBJEE 2024 Application Fee will be submitted through online mode.
- Candidates will be able to pay using Net Banking, Credit card, Debit card, and UPI.
- The fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

How to Apply for WBJEE 2024
- Step-1: Go to the website (link is provided above).
- Step-2: Candidates first have to register by entering details such as name, father name, gender, domicile and date of birth.
- Step-3: Then candidate will have to create password, choose security question, answer and submit the registration.
- Step-4: Fill the application form with details i.e., personal, academic, and contact details, etc.
- Step-5: Upload the scanned passport size photograph in (10 to 200 KB) size and JPG/ JPEG format. The signature size must be 4 to 30 KB size and in JPEG/ JPG format.
- In case of any document certificate, mark sheet, etc. it must be uploaded in PDF format and 50 to 300 KB size.
- Step-6: Pay the examination fee through online mode using UPI, Credit card, Debit card, and Net Banking.
- Step-7: On successful completion candidates will be directed to download the “Confirmation Page” for further use.
WBJEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for WBJEE 2024 is mentioned below:
General Eligibility:
- Nationality: The candidate must be Indian citizen or OCI to be eligible for exam.
- Age Limit: The minimum age of candidate must be 17 years as on 31st December 2024 to get admission in Engineering & Technology. There will be no upper age limit for the candidates.
- For admission in Marine Engineering course the upper age limit must be 25 years.
For Engineering & Technology course:
- Qualification: Candidates must pass 12th class or equivalent from any Central Government board or any recognized board.
- Subject: In qualifying exam candidates must pass with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject with any of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science, etc.
- Marks: The minimum marks candidates must score at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates).
For Pharmacy:
- Qualification: The candidates must qualify 12th level or equivalent from any recognized board.
- Subject: Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology as compulsory subjects.
- Marks: In qualifying exam applicants must score 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates).
For Architecture:
- Qualification: Candidates must pass 12th or intermediate or equivalent from any recognized board.
- Marks: The minimum marks candidates must score at least 50% marks in individual subjects.
- Subject: In qualifying exam applicants must pass in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subject.
- Scores: Appearing candidates must have NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) valid scores.
