The entrance test provides an opportunity to the candidates to get admission in Engineering, Pharmacy and other courses offered by the various colleges of Karnataka state.
It is conducted for providing admission into Engineering (B.Tech) & other professional courses in the state of Karnataka. For admission in architecture courses, candidates appear in the NEET exam.

KCET 2026 Exam Dates
Here, we have listed all the important dates of KCET 2026. Candidates must go through following table regarding KCET 2026 exam dates:

Karnataka CET 2026 Pre & Post Exam Schedule
Exam conducting authority has announced KCET Exam date 2026 on the website. Here, we have mentioned complete events before and after the conduction of examination with the dates along with them:
Pre KCET Examination:
KCET 2026 registration process will start on 17th January 2026 through online mode. Candidates can register themselves through the website of conducting authority till the last date of submission. KCET 2026 application form will be made available till 3rd week of February 2026.
After the completion of registration process, the authority will also provide correction facility to the successfully registered candidates. The application form correction will be start in February/ March 2026.
Authority will release the KCET 2026 admit card for all successfully registered candidates individually through online mode. Candidates will be able to download their admit card first week of April 2026 onwards via online mode.
KCET 2026 exam will be conducted via offline mode (Paper Based Test). The examination will be held on 23rd & 24th April 2026.
Post KCET Examination:
After a few days from the completion of examination, the authority will release the KCET answer key. Candidates will be provided the provisional answer key in April/ May 2026. Candidates will be able to submit their objections against the answer key till April/ May 2026. It will be made available via online mode.
KCET 2026 result will be declared in the third week of May 2026. Candidates will have to login by using their login credentials to check their result.
After the declaration of result, the authority releases cut off for various courses. On the basis of cut off marks qualified candidates will be considered eligible for various rounds.
KCET 2026 Counselling process will start through online mode. It will be organised in various rounds. The cut off will be the minimum marks candidates will have to score to qualify the examination.
It is mandatory for all qualified candidates to participate in the counselling process. During counselling session, the document verification will be done which is conducted in at least 15 helpline centres after the declaration of result.
