After the declaration of NEET written exam result, the state medical authority has published the state merit list for all the candidates of Jharkhand. On the basis of state merit list candidates are able to participate in the Jharkhand NEET 2023 counselling round. The authority has published the name of the candidates those selected for counselling according to the cutoff marks. The counselling is conducted in various rounds on the basis of availability of seats.

The candidates have to fill the application form to participate in the state counselling. The Registration for counselling procedure has been started after few weeks from the declaration of result. Shortlisted candidates are able to participate in counselling round through online mode.

Selection & Admission Procedure

  • The counselling is organised through Computerized Multi Table Parallel Counselling.
  • The availability of vacant seats has been published on the website as institution-wise and branch-wise.
  • The seats has been allotted after the verification of the original documents and choice filling.
  • If candidate does not participate in the counselling as per their rank in the merit list their candidature will be cancelled.
  • After the completion of first counselling, the second counselling is conducted for which the authority has published the new merit list.
  • After the allotment of the seat, candidates have to report to the allotted college for final admission.

Reservation Criteria

The reservation of seats will be fixed by the state authority in every medical or dental college. Candidates also have to produce the proof of reserve category in the format given by the official authority. The reservation will be given to the SC/ST/OBC-I/OBC-II/PH category candidates. The percentage of reservation is given below:

  • General Category: 50%
  • SC Category: 26%
  • ST: 10%
  • OBC-I: 8%
  • OBC-II: 6%

Document Required

The candidates those are selected for the counselling must bring the original certificates along with one set of Xerox self attested copy.
