Can Final Year Students Apply for CAT 2026
Yes, for the Common Admission Test, CAT 2026-2027 session, candidates who are in their final year can apply. You are eligible.
The IIM CAT Eligibility criteria state that “Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.
However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate” reads the CAT official eligibility pdf.
Candidates applying as final-year students or those awaiting results should note that their admission will be provisional. Final confirmation will depend on submitting the required certificate proving completion of all degree requirements by the specified date.

IIM Indore has started the registration for CAT 2026 on August 3, 2026 (Friday) at 10:00 AM, and the last day to submit the CAT form is September 15, 2026 (Saturday) at 05:00 PM. Only a few days are left, all the candidates are advised to successfully submit the form timely manner.
On 29th November 2026, exam will be conducted in three sessions, the CAT exam 2026 examination will take place in computer-based test mode.
