The Indian Maritime University (IMU), headquartered in Chennai & was established in 2008. IMU CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

In the section below, candidates can get complete IMU CET 2026 eligibility norms: 

For B.Tech Programme: 

• Qualification: Candidates passed in class 12th level or equivalent exam from any recognized board are eligible to apply. 
• Subjects: In qualifying exam, candidates must pass with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English as mandatory subjects. 
• Marks: Applying candidates must score at least 60% marks in PCM and 50% marks in English subjects in qualifying exam to apply. 
• Age Limit: To be eligible, candidates age must be 25 years to 28 years for male (30 years for SC/ST). For females 27 years for general, 30 years for OBC (NCL) & 32 years for SC/ST category is required. 
• Appearing: Candidates appearing in class 12th level are also eligible to apply. 

For B.Sc Programme: 

• Qualification: To be eligible for the exam, candidates must pass in class 12th level or equivalent from any recognized board. 
• Marks: In the qualifying exam, candidates must score 60% marks in PCM subject & 50% marks in English. 
• Relaxation: 5% of relaxation will be given in English marks to apply. 

For MBA Programme: 

• Qualification: Applicants with Bachelor degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for admission. 
• Age Limit: To apply for an exam, there is no age limit criteria for candidates. 
• Marks: Candidates must score at least 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam to apply. 
• Relaxation: Applying candidates with eligible marks (except English marks) will be given 5% relaxation. 
• Eligibility Medical: Candidates have to submit the Physics fitness certificate from registered medical practitioner to apply.  

IMU CET 2026 Exam Pattern

• Mode of Exam: IMU CET exam will be conducted through online (CBT) mode. 
• Duration: Total 3 hours will be given to solve the question paper. 
• Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked in the exam. 
• Number of Questions: In the question paper, a total 120 questions will be asked. 
• Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, 1 mark will be given to the candidate.

IMU CET 2026 Admit Card 

Admit card of IMU CET 2026 will be released in May 2026. Candidates will be able to download the hall ticket through online mode. There will be no offline facility available to access the admit card. The exam will be held on 24th May 2026. 

Candidates will be required to use their login credentials such as application number, password & security code to access the admit card from the website. Details such as name, photograph, signature, venue, exam date, timing, exam name, etc will be mentioned in it. Candidates must keep the hardcopy of the admit card safe for the day of the exam. As without having a valid hall ticket, candidates won’t be allowed to appear for exam.

IMU CET 2026 Result

Students appeared in the entrance test will check the IMU CET Result 2026 via online mode. It will be announced by IMU in June 2026 month. IMU CET rank card 2026 will be available through login.

Candidates keep their login details ready like application number and password to check the result. After the result announcement, candidates can appear in the counselling process according to their rank.

IMU CET Cut-off 2026

Candidates may check the cut-off or rank list in the month of June 2026. IMU CET 2026 cut-off will be released through online mode. The cut-off will be published as per the courses offered by IMU & participating institutions.

Cut-off will be prepared as per the marks scored in the entrance test, rank, category & students applied. As per the released cut-off candidates can participate in further admission rounds.

IMU CET Counselling 2026

After the release of IMU CET 2026 Rank List, the counselling process will be started through online mode. IMU CET 2026 Counselling will be commenced from the month of June 2026. It will be conducted only for its six campuses.

Through counselling portal, candidates will have to register and fill their choices for programmes/campuses. Candidates will have to pay Rs.10,000 as a counselling fee. Basis of rank, social category & seat availability a seat will be allotted to candidates. For seat confirmation candidates are required to pay balance fee and get their document verified.
