IISER 2024 Application Form has been released on 1st April 2024. This examination is conducted one time each year at national level. Indian Institute of Science Education & Research conducts the IISER examination to offer admission in BS & BS-MS Dual Degree Programmes. It is an autonomous institution established under ministry of education, Govt. of India. Exam qualified candidates will be able to get admission into various IISER i.e. Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati & Berhampur. IISER 2024 Application Form

Below we have provided details about IISER 2024 Application Form with instructions:

• IISER 2024 registration process has been started from 1st April 2024.
• Only eligible candidates are able to fill the application form.
• Candidates are able to fill their application form through online mode only. No offline facility is available to fill the form.
• Fill application form with correct details including qualification, personal, address, category etc.
• Candidates are required to upload their documents i.e. photograph & signature in specific size.
• Aspirants are able to fill registration form till 13th May 2024.
• Application correction window will be opened on 16th & 17th May 2024.
• There will be no need to send any hardcopy of the application form by post to the authority.
• Take printout of the filled-in application form and keep it safe for other purpose.

• Candidates are able to make payment through online mode.
• Online fee can be paid through debit card/ credit card/ net banking or other online payment gateways.
• Application fee is non-refundable.

How to Apply for IISER 2024

• Step 1: Go through the official website (link is given here).
• Step 2: Register yourself on the portal by providing basic details.
• Step 3: Now, login using login credentials i.e. application number or password.
• Step 4: Fill application form with required details and submit it.
• Step 5: Upload necessary documents in the JPG/ JPEG format.
• Step 6: Pay the application fee through online mode using debit card/ credit card.
• Step 7: Submit the application form and take printout of the same.

IISER 2024 Eligibility

Aspirants must go through the following mentioned IISER eligibility criteria before filling the application form:

• Nationality: Indian/ OCI/ PIO candidates are eligible to apply.
• Qualifications: Candidates must pass 12th or equivalent examination in 2022, 2023 & 2024 with science stream from any recognised board.
• Subjects: Candidates must have passed with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects in their qualifying exam.
• Marks: Candidates should secure at least 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ ST/ PWD category) in their qualifying examinations.
• J&K Candidates: Candidates from J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE), from Kashmir division/Winter Zone areas of Jammu division and the U.T. of Ladakh, those have passed exam in December 2021, will also eligible to apply for the IAT 2024.
• Appearing: 12th class appearing candidates will also be eligible to apply.

IISER 2024 Exam Pattern

Aspirants must check below to know details about IISER 2024 Exam Pattern & marking scheme:

• Mode of Exam: IISER 2024 examination will be held in online mode (computer based test).
• Duration: 3 hours will be provided to the candidates to solve the question paper.
• Language: Examination will be conducted in Hindi & English languages.
• Type of Questions: Multiple choice type questions will be asked in the examination.
• Number of Questions: There total 60 questions will be available in the question paper.
• Marking Scheme: For every correct response 4 marks will be provided.
• Negative Marking: one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

IISER 2024 Syllabus

IISER 2024 syllabus will be generally followed by NCERT syllabus of class 11th and 12th. Candidates can check some of the important topics for all subjects here:

Chemistry: State of matter, structure of atom, hydrogen, thermodynamics, the solid state, chemical kinetic, surface chemistry, hydrocarbons, chemical bonding and molecular structure, equilibrium, redox reaction, general principle and processes of isolation of element, alcohol, phenol and ethers

Mathematics: Binomial theorem, sets, relation and functions, complex number and quadratic equations, linear inequalities, conic sections, straight lines, determinant, integral, vector, linear programming, sequences and series, three dimensional geometry, applications of integral, differential equation

Physics: Electrostatics, current electricity, waves, atoms, nuclei, electromagnetic induction, work, energy and power, law of motion, kinematics, physical work and measurements, gravitation, properties of bulk matter, magnetic effect of current and magnetism

Biology: Human physiology, cell structure and function, diversity in the living world, reproduction, biotechnology and its application, plant and animal physiology, biology and human welfare, stratal organisation in animals and plants, genetics and evolution, ecology and environment

IISER Preparation Tips

Here we have provided some important preparation tips which will help out the candidates to prepare well for the exam:

• Make a proper time table and follow it on the regular basis.
• Understand the exam pattern and marking scheme well before starting your preparation.
• Try to solve previous years question papers and attempt mock tests.
• Choose a good study material from which you can prepare better.
• Make short notes of the important topics and try to do revision daily.
• Take a healthy meal to stay fit.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

IISER 2024 Admit Card

IISER Admit Card will be released through online mode on the website. Candidates will be able to download their admit card from 1st June 2024. Admit will be the important document which will be needed on the day of exam. IISER 2024 Admit card will have details i.e. name of the candidates, exam venue, exam date and time, roll number etc.

Candidates must bring their IISER 2024 hall ticket on the day of exam. Also one photo identity proof and passport size photograph will be needed. Without a valid admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.

There will be no need to bring any other unnecessary items on the examination hall including electronic devices, mobile, smart watch, bags, foods etc.

IISER 2024 Answer Key

IISER answer key will release after few days the conduct of exam. It will be available on 9th June 2024. IISER 2024 answer key will contain correct answer of the questions asked in the examination. Candidates will be able to take a general idea about their marks obtained in the examination.

Candidates will also be able to make objections against the IISER 2024 answer key, if there is any discrepancy in answers. Final answer key will be released after clearing all submitted objections. It will be made available in the PDF format. Final answer key will be released on 21st June 2024.

IISER 2024 Result

Authority will declare the IISER Result through online mode. It will be declared on 25th June 2024. Aspirants will be able to get their result using login credentials i.e. application number or date of birth. Result will be available for different channels separately.

IAT result will be declared to those candidates who have successfully appeared in the aptitude test. For other channels it will be announced separately. Merit list will be prepared by the authority for all three channels. Candidates must take a hardcopy of the result and keep it safe for admission procedure.

IISER 2024 Cut Off

Cut off will be the minimum marks that candidates have to obtained in the exam. IISER Cut off list will be released in the month of June 2024. IISER 2024 cut off will be different for all categories and channels. Based on the cut off marks, aspirants will be called for further admission rounds.

IISER 2024 Counselling

Candidates who have appeared the exam and obtained good rank will be called for IISER counselling. Seat allotment process will be done during the counselling. Candidates who have selected, will be able to download their call letter from the website. Counselling will be started from 26th June 2024.

IISER Admission Procedure will be organised through online mode. There will be no need to visit IISERs in person for counselling. Admission will be offered to the candidates based on various factors i.e. availability of seats at each IISER preference filled by the candidates and category.

Candidates will be provided to choose freeze and float options after accepting the fee and paying acceptance fee. Online seat allotment will be provisional. Final confirmation of seats will be provided to the candidates on the day of reporting. Candidates must reach at the reporting venue on the given day with required documents.
