Admission Procedure

Admission to the law colleges of Haryana will be done through entrance examination. Haryana state will not organize any state level examination. Various Universities of Haryana conduct their own entrance test for granting admission to its law courses. Admission process vary college to college. Admissions are done on the basis of the rank scored by the candidates in the entrance Exam.

Entrance Exam

No state level entrance examination will be conducted by the Haryana state for admission to law courses. There are also some other private universities that organize their own entrance exam. CLAT is a national level entrance exam that is conducted by the NLUs for providing admission. Aspirants can appear the CLAT 2017 in the second week of May.

Law Admission 2017

Admission into LL.B. and  LL.M. courses will be offered through entrance examination conducted at university level or national level. The application form of CLAT is available from 1st January and lasts till 31st March. Candidates can appear computer based test of CLAT on 14th May. Eligibility criteria for admission to law courses is mentioned below:

  • For LLB programme, candidates must have passed graduation with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST category). Appearing candidates can also apply but at the time of admission they have to show an evidence that confirms their eligibility.
  • For admission to PG programme, students must have passed LL.B. with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST category candidates).
  • For integrated law programme, minimum qualification of 10+2 is required.
  • There is no prescribed upper age limit for appearing CLAT.
  • It is necessary for the aspirants to clear the entrance examination with the qualifying marks.

Selection Procedure

Students who have passed CLAT or any other prescribed examination with the qualifying marks are eligible for admission in the law courses. Admission to the colleges will be done through counselling. For counseling candidates will have to complete their document verification at the designated help centres or they will have to register themselves in website and fill their college choices and lock them by the specified dates. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit list and category and availability of seats in the colleges.

  • Domicile Certificate
  • Class 10th Passing Certificate
  • Class 12th Passing Certificate
  • Mark Sheet of Graduate Examination
  • Scheduled Caste/Tribe/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Physically Handicapped Certificate (if any)
  • Passport Size photograph (Minimum 8)
  • Character Certificate
  • Admit card of entrance test
