  • JEE Main Rank – Rank or All India Rank refers to the final meri position of student which is determined by best percentile if multiple sessions are taken.

Below we have given a JEE Main strategic plan that you can follow to prepare well for session 2 exam:

1. Analyze Your JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Performance:

Candidates who have taken the JEE Main first attempt should thoroughly review their scorecard and check their subject-wise performance. Based on that, they will know in which subject they are required to pay more attention.

Sit for a while and think about the time when you gave an exam. Analyse the areas where you were feeling difficulty, and the section were you were fast or slow? Were there any careless mistakes or not, etc, note it down so that you can prepare better this time. Based on your previous mistake, make a better exam-taking strategy.

2. High-Weightage Topics:

Give importance to the topics that were easy to answer, but you find difficult to answer. Go through complete JEE syllabus once. If you want to understand any topics clearly and easily, use the NCERT books and standard reference materials.
Make handwritten notes as they are easy to understand, and also find ways to make your learning skills easy and efficient. Go through the JEE Main video lecture for better understanding of topics.

3. Solve Previous Year’s Paper & Take Mock Test:

Go through the memory-based question paper of session one and solve them. Collect previous year’s question papers and practice them regularly. NTA has officially made an available mock test, solve mock tests to know how prepared you are and where you are lacking.

4. Improve Speed and Manage Time Effectively:

While solving the paper, you can use the two-pass approach process, which is solving the easy questions first, and then completing the tougher questions. Avoid answering questions randomly to avoid negative markings. Look for fast calculation techniques and realistic study schedule.
