UGC NET 2024 Application is releasing soon. National Testing Agency (NTA) entrusted by University Grants Commission (UGC) is responsible for conducting UGC-NET exam. It is a national level entrance exam conducted every year for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant professor’, ‘Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor’ in various Indian Colleges and Universities.

The aggregate performance shown by candidates in UGC -NET Paper I & II decides the awarding of JRF and /or eligibility for Assistant professorship. This exam is conducted twice every year in the months of June & December. The registration process will be through online mode only. • The UGC NET 2024 Application form process will begin from March 2024 for June cycle.
• Registration can be done through online mode only.
• Complete application process contains various steps – Online registration, filling application details, uploading of scanned images, fee payment & confirmation.
• For December cycle, the registration can be done from May 2024.
• The authority will not edit/ alter/ modify any detail in application form under any circumstances.
• No request for correction from students through post/ fax/ email/ by hand, etc. will be entertained so complete details must be filled carefully.
• Complete information/ update regarding exam will be communicated through email/ SMS so candidates must submit valid mobile number and email address.
• Complete documents must be ready beforehand for uploading/ filling details at the time of registration. These are:
  • Qualifying exam details/ documents
  • id proof
  • Degree/ pass certificate
  • Communicational details (address, mail id, etc.)
  • Cities/ centers
  • Category certificate
  • Scanned Images (Photograph/ Signature), etc.

Application Fee:

• Candidates can pay application fee through online mode only.
• Payment mode: Fee payment can be done using net banking/ debit card/ credit card/ UPI.

UGC NET 2024 Application Correction

The correction facility in UGC NET 2024 Application will begin after completion of application process. Candidates will be able to edit application form from March 2024 for June cycle. Students can change details in editable fields only through online mode. No offline request for correction will be accepted by authority.

For June cycle, UGC NET application correction window will open from April 2024. There will be no further extension or acceptance of any correction in particulars after closure of correction window. Students are requested to exercise utmost caution during application process to avoid correction later.

UGC NET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Know UGC NET Eligibility criteria details before applying for exam:

• Age limit: Applying candidates age must be 30 years for JRF. In case of reserved category candidates, relaxation of 5 years is given. No maximum age limit is prescribed.
• Qualifying Candidates: Those having Masters’ degree or its equivalent from a recognized board/ university/ institution are eligible to apply.
• Qualifying marks: candidates in qualifying degree must have obtained atleast of 55% marks. 50% marks for reserved (ST/ SC/ PWD/ OBC category) candidates.
• Those appearing in final year of qualifying degree are also eligible to apply.

• Click on the option provided as – ‘UGC NET 2024 Application form’ under Candidate Activity.
• After clicking on the application form, a new page will be opened displaying the application form.
• Go through complete instructions before proceeding to fill application.
• Register online by providing necessary details to generate OTP.
• Using OTP sent to registered mobile number / mail id generate login credentials.
• Login to the website and start filling further details in application.
• Fill your personal, communicational, qualification, subject codes, etc. details.
• Now upload the scanned images of photograph, signature other documents as per mentioned specifications.
• Pay application fee as per your category and through payment modes available online.
• Re-check complete filled details in application form and confirm only after verifying.
