To participate in the counselling, candidates have to register them individually in the website of counselling authority. Candidates have to pay the registration fee to confirm their registration for admission in MBBS or BDS courses. The authority publishes the seat matrix for every round of counselling on their website.

Candidates have to fill the choices of colleges and lock them in the counselling session. The seats are allotted to the eligible candidates as per their ranks and availability of seats. Candidates also have to verify their documents as without it no candidates will be allotted with the seat.

Candidates can check their seat allotment result on the website. Counselling rounds depends upon the availability of seats in the participating colleges.

Selection & Admission Procedure

  • After the announcement of result along with ranks secured by the candidates, qualified candidates will be called for the counselling process as per their performance in the entrance exam.
  • Candidates will have to register for counselling by payment of registration fee.
  • During the counselling procedure, candidates are required to fill the choices college where they are looking for admission.
  • The seats will be allotted to the candidates after document verification.
  • As per the rank obtained, options filled and seat availability, the seats are allotted to the candidates.
  • After seat allotment procedure, candidates will have to reach the allotted college/university/ institution to complete the admission formalities.
  • If candidates can not confirm their seats in the stipulated time, then their seat are transferred to the next candidate.

Reservation Criteria

There is a seat reservation policy opted by the every private and government college in the state of West Bengal. The seats are reserved for the SC/ST/OBC/OBC-NCL/PH/Defence Personnel. If the candidate claim for seat reservation, then he/she have to produce the relevant certificate.

Document Required

Candidates are advised to bring the original documents along with a photocopy for document verification on the day of counselling.

  1. I am a permanent resident of west Bengal and continuously residing in WB since my birth. I have studied in WB under CBSE Board and passed 10+2 from CBSE Board. I have taken residential certificate from SDO kharagpur. Now in NEET 2020 counselling for West Bengal state quota, what should filled up in residential category PROFORMA a1 or PROFORMA a2?

  2. I have 437 marks in neet 2020.Iam west Bengal as per my domicile certificate. And I am general category. Can I get chance mbbs or bds in govt collage

  3. Want to know the date of medical board at SSKM for getting PH certificate. 2.May I upload PH certicate from dist. hospital at the time of my document verification.
