VIT University, Vellore

VIT University was established in the year 1984 as “Vellore Engineering College. VIT university was formerly known as the Vellore Engineering College, but later on it became to know as Vellore Institute of Technology. By the declaration of the state government as the status of deemed university, it known as the VIT University. It is ISO 9002 certified institution.

Campus:

The campus is sited over the 350 acres of land. The campus is located in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu state. The college is 180 km from the Bangalore and 130 km away From the Chennai. The campus is situated on around 2 hours distance from the airport or railway station.

Courses:

VIT University is offering 19 undergraduate programmes and 34 postgraduate programmes and two Integrated courses and various PhD courses in the field of engineering & technology, management,  computer application and science and humanities. Read More >>

Facilities:

The Campus has residential complex for faculties, lake, garden, wide roads, electricity supply and backup, water supply and backup and a shopping complex equipped with stationary, general store, STD, mobile shop and daily goods. The campus provides the computer lab, science labs, library, workshops, canteen, gym, swimming pool, football court and separate hostels for boys and girls.

Activities:

VIT University celebrates the technical festival named GraVITas”. The university celebrates this festival on every August – September of the year. The university celebrates one another festival named “Riviera” referred to the sports and cultural festival.

Placement:
