UGC NET 2026 Application Form

Check all the instructions given below before filling the UGC NET 2026 Registration Form:

• Application form can be filled out by the candidates through online mode.
• Candidates can get application form from 29th April 2026 for June exam & second week of November 2026 for December exam.
• Candidates must read the Information Bulletin before filling the form to ensure their eligibility.
• Fill correct details in the application form i.e. personal, educational, qualifications etc.
• Candidates must upload scanned recent passport size photograph, signature, and other relevant documents in the correct/ valid format.
• Application form filling process will be continued till 24th May 2026 for December session.
• Correction window has been opened from 26th to 28th May 2026 for the candidates who made mistakes in the application form.
• At last take printout of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future references.

• Payment can be done through online mode using credit card, debit card, or net banking.
• No application fee is charged through any offline mode.

Documents Required for UGC NET 2026 Registration

Before starting the online application form filling process, candidates must keep the following details/ documents ready:

• Scanned image of photograph
• Scanned image of signature
• Category certificate (if applicable)
• Qualifying degree or last year mark sheet
• Basic details i.e. name, mather’s name, father’s name, date of birth, qualifications, etc.
• EWS certificate (if applicable)
• Email address & mobile number etc.

UGC NET 2026 Application Correction

Correction window is to be opened for the candidates who have made mistakes while filling out the application form. Candidates are able to edit their application form from 26th to 28th May 2026 for June Session. UGC NET Correction Facility has been provided through online mode only.

Candidates must ensure to correct the details during the correction window only. Any request for a change in details after the correction window will not be considered. Corrections sent by candidates through post/ fax/ e-mail or by hand will not be accepted.

UGC NET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants must check & fulfill the given UGC NET Eligibility Criteria before filling the application form:

• Qualification: Aspirants must have Master’s Degree or its equivalent from any recognised university/ college.
• Marks Criteria: In the qualifying degree, candidates must secure 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ ST/ PWD/ OBC-NCL/ Third Gender).
• Age Criteria for JRF: For candidates applying for JRF must have completed 30 years (25 years for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ PWD/ Third Gender) as on the first day of month.
• Age Criteria for Assistant Professor: There is no age restriction to apply for Assistant Professor.
• Appearing: Candidates who are appearing in their final year or whose result is still awaited will also be eligible for the examination.

How to Apply for UGC NET 2026

Here, candidates can get a stepwise procedure to apply for UGC NET 2026:

• Visit the NTA website (link is given here).
• Now, click on ‘UGC NET 2026 Application Form’ link.
• Register yourself by providing a valid mobile number, date of birth & email ID.
• Note down the system-generated application form.
• Before filling the registration form, download complete information bulletin & read the instructions carefully to ensure eligibility.
• Click on ‘Login’ button and provide application number and password.
• Fill application form with all the important fields, including exam centre, choice of subject, qualification, category etc.
• Upload scanned images, i.e., a recent passport size photograph, signature in the PDF format.
• Candidates must ensure to upload the photograph in color or black and white showing 80% of the face, including ears, on a white background.
• The size of the photo should be 10 to 200 KB, and the size of the signature should be 4 to 30 KB.
• Now pay the application fee via online mode using debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ SBI/ CANARA/ ICICI/ HDFC Bank or UPI.
• Carefully review all the details filled in the application form and then submit it.
• Download, save, and print the confirmation page of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.
