NIFT 2026 Application Form

Below, we have given some necessary instructions to fill the NIFT Application Form 2026:

  • NIFT 2026 Application Form filling will be started in fourth week of November 2025.
  • Aspirants will be able to submit their registration form via online mode only.
  • One must ensure to meet the requisite eligibility criteria before filling the form.
  • Enter details like name, mobile number, address, qualification and other personal details to complete the form.
  • Correction window for modification in application details will be opened in second week of January 2026.
  • Scanned documents, such as photograph and signatures, must be uploaded in specified format.
  • The deadline for submitting the NIFT 2026 application form will be till first week of January 2026.
  • For future reference, candidates should retain a printout of their completed application form.

  • NIFT 2026 registration fee will be remitted through online mode.

NIFT 2026 Application Correction

Candidates those will be applying for NIFT 2026, will be given an opportunity to correct details in the filled application form. NIFT application correction 2026 will be tentatively start in second week of January 2026.

How to Apply for NIFT 2026 

To apply for NIFT 2026, students are required to follow the given instructions:

  • Step-1: Visit the NIFT website link (link will be given above).
  • Step-2: Select the “click here to apply” link from homepage.
  • Step-3: Fill out the required details, such as personal, contact & qualification information.
  • Step-4: Upload scanned photograph and signature in JPEG format.
  • Step-5: Review all the information provided and submit the application form.
  • Step-6: Proceed to pay the online application fee as instructed.
  • Step-7: Keep a hard copy of the completed application form for future correspondence.

NIFT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should read the given section to know the NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2026:

For B.Des/B.F.Tech Programme:

  • Age Limit: Applicants  maximum age must be 24 years old as of 1st August 2026. However, age of reserved category applicants will be relaxed by a period of 5 years.
  • Qualification: Applicants must have passed 12th-grade exam or an equivalent exam from a recognized board, or  from National Open Schools with at least 5 subjects.
  • Subjects: Candidates applying for B.F.Tech courses must have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject in their qualifying exam.
  • Appearing: Applicants who are currently appearing for their final exams will also be eligible to apply.

M.Des/MFM/M.F.Tech Programmes:

  • Qualification: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized board.
  • Appearing: Applicants appearing in their final year of a bachelor’s degree will also be eligible to apply.

NIFT 2026 Exam Pattern

Before exam preparation, students must go through the given NIFT Exam Pattern 2026:

  • Exam Mode: GAT exam will be conducted via online mode (CBT), whereas CAT exam will be held offline (PBT).
  • Duration: A total of 2 hours will be given for B.Des/ M.Des course & 3 hours for other courses.
  • Total Questions: There will be 100 questions for B.Des, 120 questions for M.Des and 150 questions for other courses.
  • Types of Questions: In NIFT 2026, Multiple Choice Questions will be asked.
  • Medium: Language of question paper will be bilingual i.e. both English & Hindi.
  • Marking Scheme: students will be allotted 1 mark for each correct answer and 25% marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

NIFT 2026 Syllabus

  • Quantitative Ability: This section assesses numerical skills, including Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, Rate of interest calculations, Fractions and percentages, Distance calculations, Work and time problems, Ratios and proportions etc.

Answer: NIFT 2026 exam will be held via both online & offline mode. GAT exam will be conducted using CBT format and CAT exam will be conducted using PBT format.

NIFT 2026 Admit Card

The admit card for NIFT 2026 will be available to download via online mode on the website. To download the admit card, candidates will need to log in using their application number and date of birth. NIFT Admit Card 2026 will be issued by the authority in first week of February 2026.

On the day of exam, candidates must bring a printed copy of their admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to be permitted entry inside the examination hall. It will contain important details such as name, roll number, exam venue, exam date & time and instructions for exam day. 

NIFT 2026 Answer Key

The authority will publish the NIFT answer key 2026 in third week of February 2026 along with the question paper via online mode. To access the answer key, candidates will need to login using their registered user ID and password.

Any objections regarding the answer key must be submitted by the candidates before the closure of the objection window. If candidates fail to submit their objections within the specified time frame, then no further request for revelation will be entertained.

NIFT 2026 Result

NIFT Result 2026 will be announced in fourth week of March 2026 via online mode after the conclusion of entrance exam. Candidates will be able to log in to the website using their application number and password to view/check their scores.

The results will be based on marks scored in NIFT 2026 entrance exam.  NIFT merit list 2026 will be prepared considering CAT, GAT, and Situational Test scores. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling process based on the merit list.

NIFT 2026 Cut Off

To get into NIFT 2026, candidates will need to score above the minimum cut off marks. NIFT Cut Off 2026 will be the minimum qualifying mark set by the authority for selecting eligible candidates for admission. Students will be able to check the cut off marks via online mode.

There will be several factors influencing the NIFT 2026 cut off, such as candidates performance in exam, number of candidates appearing, difficulty level of exam, available seats and past year’s cut off trends.

NIFT 2026 Counselling

NIFT Counselling 2026 will be organized via online mode in various rounds, including situation tests or interviews. After the result declaration, candidates’ performance in the written test, situation test, and interview rounds will be considered to determine seat allotment.

The authority will shortlisted eligible candidates to participate in counselling process based on their merit rank. Seat allocation will commence from the month of May/ June 2026. Successful candidates must confirm their seats by paying the required fees and verifying their documents at the allotted institute.
