JEE Advanced 2023: Counselling (Started), Admission, Cut-off

JEE Advanced 2023JEE Advanced 2023 JoSAA Seat Allotment has been released for sixth round. It is a national level examination conducted every year by one of seven Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) – IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, and IIT Roorkee in rotational shifts. It is conducted by the seven Zonal Coordinating IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).

Only the JEE Main qualified candidates can appear for JEE Advanced. Candidates will be offered admission in Bachelor’s Integrated Master or Bachelor’s Master’s dual degree courses. The qualified candidates will be offered admission in Engineering and Architecture courses. JEE Advanced exam has been conducted in a center-based online mode.

JEE Advanced Answer Key 2023

The concerned authority has released the answer key of JEE Advanced 2023 for both Paper-I and II on the website. Provisional answer key has been released first so that candidates can raise objections to any discrepancy found in the JEE Advanced answer key.

After resolving all the objections, the authority has released the final answer key along with JEE advanced result. The answer key has been published on 11th June 2023.

JEE Advanced Result 2023

Candidates can check the result of JEE Advanced 2023 on the website by entering the roll number, date of birth, and phone number. JEE Advanced 2023 result has been declared online on 18th June 2023.

The candidates who have qualified for the exam receive a message on the registered mobile number. No result/ scorecard is sent through post/ email.

The rank secured by the candidates in JEE Advanced 2023 will be the basis of admission to IITs.

JEE Advanced 2023 Cut Off

The cut-off of JEE Advanced 2023 is the minimum score required to qualify for the exam. After the declaration of the result, the authority has released the cut-off on the website.

JEE Advanced Counseling 2023

The candidates who qualified for the JEE Advanced 2023 exam are eligible to participate in the JEE Advanced counseling process conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).

To enroll in the JEE Advanced counseling process, candidates have to first complete the JoSAA registration and choose the colleges and courses as per their JEE Advanced ranks. Based on the availability of seats, the counseling process is conducting in several rounds.

The document verification process will also be carried out during the counseling rounds.

JEE Advanced 2023 Admit Card

JEE Advanced admit card is made available via online mode on 29th May 2023. JEE Advanced 2023 admit card includes details such as exam date, exam time, center address, candidate’s name, date of birth, category, roll number, etc.

Candidates must carry their JEE Advanced Admit Card to the allotted exam center along with a Govt. approved photo id proof. If a candidate fails to carry the admit card, then the candidate will not be permitted to sit in the exam.

JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2023

The exam pattern of JEE Advanced 2023 includes details such as exam mode, marking scheme, the total number of questions, type of questions, etc. Check complete details:

  • Exam Mode: JEE Advanced will be held in Online (Computer-based test) mode.
  • Number of Papers: There will be 2 Papers – 1 & 2 (Both Mandatory).

JEE Advanced 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check and fulfill the JEE Advanced Eligibility criteria before filling out the application form:

  • Nationality: All Indian nationals including OCI/ PIO are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2023. Foreign candidates will be eligible under 10% under the supernumerary seat quota.
  • Age Limit: The candidates from the General and OBC categories must have been born on or after October 1, 1998. Five-year relaxation in age limit is provided for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates, they must have been born on or after October 1, 1993.
  • Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed class 12th examination or its equivalent for the first time in the year 2022 and 2023.
  • Subject: Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as the mandatory subjects in class 12th.
  • Minimum Percentage: The 75% criteria in class 12th or equivalent exam has been relaxed to be eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced exam.
  • Number of Attempts: A candidate can give JEE Advanced exam only two times in two consecutive years.
  • JEE Main Performance: The candidates must be among the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main qualified candidates to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2023.
