NEET News: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the NEET 2025 exam on 4th May 2025, and only a few days are left.
NEET information bulletin, Chapter 09, provides essential details regarding the “Barred Items and Dress Code.”
Under Chapter 9.1, the authority has outlined all the items allowed and not allowed inside the NEET exam center and hall, while Chapter 9.2 has all the details regarding the NEET dress code for all candidates.

NEET Dress Code
On the NEET exam day, both male and female candidates are required to wear simple, comfortable clothing. Female candidates can wear light-colored cotton T-shirts or a simple suit, whereas male candidates can wear jeans/trousers and a T-shirt. Clothing should be modest and uncomplicated.
It is important to note that the color of the clothing should be light, and candidates should avoid wearing stylish or trendy t-shirts and jeans. Candidates can only wear slippers and sandals with low heels. No candidates are allowed to wear heavy, long-sleeved clothes or shoes.
NTA Confirms Videography For NEET 2025, What Candidates Must Know
If any candidate wishes to wear specific attire or prefers to appear in cultural/customary dress for the NEET UG 2025 exam, they must have selected “Yes” to the question, “Do you intend to wear customary dress to the dress code while appearing in NEET UG 2025?” during the registration process.
Candidates who selected “Yes” are required to report at least one hour before the last reporting time, which is 12:30 PM. This early arrival will ensure there is enough time for proper frisking without any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.
In case of any deviation required due to unavoidable (medical, etc.) circumstances, specific approval of NTA must be taken before the NEET admit cards are issued.
As the NTA has set rules and a dress code, all candidates are mandatorily required to follow them on the exam day to get entry into the exam hall. If any of the candidates will not be following the NEET dress code, they will not be allowed to enter the exam center in any circumstance.
