NIFT 2025 Exam will be conducted in first week of February 2025 through online mode. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is an entrance exam conducted for admission in Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree courses in fashion technology. This entrance exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) at national level  every year to provide admission to eligible candidates in B.Des/ BF.Tech/ M.Des/ MFM programmes. Candidates qualifying the exam will be given admission at 16 campuses of NIFT and other affiliated institutes within the country.

• NIFT 2025 Application Form will be filled by candidates in first week of December 2024.
• Application form will be filled and submitted by candidates through online mode only.
• Candidates will have to fill the registration form with details like personal, educational qualification, communicational details etc.
• The modification in details of application will be done during the application  correction window from second week of January  2025.
• Upload scanned documents such as passport size photograph and signature in prescribed size and and format.
• The last date for application form submission will be till first week of January 2025.
• Candidates must ensure to take a printout of filled application form for future references.

Application Fee:

• NIFT 2025 Application fee will be submitted via online mode.
• Payment will be made through debit card/credit card/net banking payment gateways.
• Under any circumstances, application fee once paid will not be refunded.

How to Apply for NIFT 2025 

Applicants will have to follow these steps to apply for NIFT 2025:

• Step-1: Go through the NIFT website (link will be given above).
• Step-2: Press on “click here to apply” link from homepage. 
• Step-3: Provide asked details like personal, contact, and qualification details.
• Step-4: Upload a scanned photograph and signature in prescribed JPEG/JPG format.
• Step-5: Cross-check all details and submit the application form.
• Step-6: Now, proceed to payment of online application fee as prescribed.
• Step-7: Candidates must ensure to keep a hard copy of filled application form for further usage.

NIFT 2025 Application Correction

Those candidates who have applied for NIFT 2025 will be given the opportunity to make corrections in details of filled application form, in case of any discrepancies. Candidates are advised to fill their application form correctly and carefully as corrections will be possible in specific details only.

If candidates found any mistake in application form, then they will have to edit it within stipulated dates and time. The application correction window will be made available to candidates till  second week of January 2025.

NIFT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, following NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2025 must be fulfilled by candidates:

For B.Des Programme:

• Age Criteria: The upper age limit of candidates must be 24 years as on 1st August 2025. For reserved category candidates, upper age limit will be relaxed upto 5 years.
• Qualification: Candidats must have passed 12th level examination or equivalent from any recognised board. Or 
• Candidate who passed 12th level from National Open Schools with a minimum of 5 subjects.
• Appearing: Candidates appearing in their qualifying examination will also be eligible to apply.

For B.F.Tech Programme:

• Age criteria: The age of candidates must not be more than 24 years. A minimum of 5 years relaxation will be given to candidates belonging to reserved category.
• Qualification: One must have completed their intermediate or equivalent examination from a recognised board.
• Subjects: Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the qualifying level examination.

For M.Des/ MFM/ M.F.Tech Courses 

• Age criteria: There is no age limit specified for candidates.
• Qualification: One must be a holder of bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognised board.
• Appearing: Those candidates who will be appearing in final examination of qualifying degree will be eligible to apply.

NIFT 2025 Exam Pattern

• Mode of Exam: Exam will be held through online mode.
• Duration: Candidates will be given 2 hours for B.Des and M.Des paper and 3 hours for B.F.Tech/M.F.Tech/MFM. 
• QuestionsType: The paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Total Questions: There will be 100 questions in B.Des, 120 questions in M.Des and 150 questions in B.F.Tech/M.F.Tech/MFM.
• Medium: The exam will be in Hindi and English language.
• Sections: There will be 5 sections in question paper.
• Negative Marking: There will be 25% of the full marks negative marking for each wrong answer.

NIFT 2025 Syllabus

The NIFT Syllabus 2025 will consist of various topics candidates will need to prepare, such as:

GAT Syllabus:

• Quantitative ability: This section is designed to test quantitative ability of candidates. It consists of questions on Addition, Division, Multiplication, Fractions, Rate of Interest, Work and Task, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion and Distance.
• Communication Ability and English Comprehension: In this sections, questions will be based on synonyms, antonyms, singular & plural words with corresponding meanings, idioms and phrases, one word substitutes, correct spellings, comprehend a situation from a given passage etc. 
• Analytical Ability and Logical Ability: This test was designed to evaluate a candidate’s capacity of inference and logic to give information and ability to identify given problems and apply reasoning in solving the core issues of problem.
• General knowledge and Current Affairs: This section is introduced to test general knowledge of candidates and current affairs.

NIFT 2025 Admit Card

The NIFT Admit Card 2025 will be issued by authority to all those candidates who have submitted their application  form  and fee successfully. The candidates will be able to download their admit card via online mode by login into the website. 

The admit card will be provided to those candidates on the admission portal through online mode in third week of January 2025. Admit card is an important document which will be mandatory for candidates to carry on the day of exam to be allowed to appear for NIFT 2025 exam. 

NIFT 2025 Answer Key

NIFT Answer Key 2025 will be released by authority  through online mode in third week of February 2025. Candidates will be able to check the question paper with answer key using their registered ID and password. 

In case of any objections, candidates will have to submit it online within the stipulated date and time. The window to receive objections from candidates will be opened a week or five days after the completion of written test.

NIFT 2025 Result

After the completion of entrance examination, authority will release the result of NIFT 2025 through online mode . NIFT Result 2025 will be announced by authority in month of March 2025. The result will be declared on the basis of marks scored by candidates in NIFT 2025 entrance exam.

To check their NIFT 2025 results, candidates will have to login to website by using their login credentials such as application number and password. No result will be sent individually to candidates through post or any other offline mode.

NIFT 2025 Merit List

NIFT Merit List 2025 will be declared by authority after the declaration of Result. Candidates will be able to check the merit list through online mode from website. The Merit list will be prepared by giving weightage of CAT, GAT and Situational Test (GD/PT).  

The authority will release a merit List on the basis of marks scored and rank obtained by candidates in NIFT 2025. These shortlisted candidates will be called to participate in counselling round. The authority will release merit list in month of March 2025.

NIFT 2025 Cut Off

NIFT Cut Off 2025 will consist of minimum qualifying marks that a candidate will need to secure in order to get admission in various NIFT courses. The cut-off  will be displayed to candidates through online mode after the announcement of result. 

Candidates will be shortlisted for admission in various NIFT campuses on the basis of cut off marks secured by them. NIFT 2025 Cut Off will be prepared based on various factors such as candidate’s performance in exam, number of candidates appearing, difficulty level of exam, number of seats available, reservation criteria,  last year Cut Off trends etc.

NIFT 2025 Counselling

NIFT Counselling 2025 will be done through an online seat allotment process after the declaration of result. The authority will invite candidates for participation in counselling process in the month of May/June 2025. Based on the merit rank, candidates will be shortlisted for counselling. 

The counselling will be organised in various rounds which includes situation tests or interview rounds. Seat allotment will be released based on candidate’s performance in written test, situation test and interview rounds. The selected candidates will need to confirm their seats by depositing the prescribed fee and documents verification while reporting at allotted institute.
