Latest Changes in GATE 2027 Syllabus
As the GATE 2027 notification along with exam dates have been announced, certain changes have been noticed in the GATE syllabus, which are as follows:
- This year, GATE Syllabus 2027 has been revised for few papers.
- Additionally, a new paper has been added – Robotics and Automation (RA) in the syllabus.
- Test paper codes have been revised for certain papers – XH, XE, XL & TF.
- Textile Engineering and Fibre Science (TF) paper has been removed as an independent standalone test paper and now added into sectional paper under Engineering Sciences (XE).

The AE topics are divided into two categories: core topics & special topics. 90% questions are asked from the core topics & 10% remaining questions come from special topics.

GATE Exam Pattern 2027
The GATE 2027 Exam pattern consists of the number of questions, type of question, marking scheme, papers, etc. In GATE exam, total 65 questions are asked. The duration of the exam is three hours. The question paper is of 100 marks.
The question paper comprise of two sections: Multiple Choice questions & Numerical Answers Questions. For correct answer, one or two marks are given to the students.
