NIFT 2027 Registration

- The application form of NIFT Entrance exam 2027 will be available in the first week of November 2026.

- The application form can only be filled via online mode. No other mode is accepted.
- Only one application form should be submitted by candidate.
- While registering, students must provide valid email id and mobile number for communication related to admission.
- NIFT 2027 Registration last date will be third week of December 2026.
- Complete information must be filled carefully in the application as NTA will not be responsible for editing/ modifying/ altering details in form.
- After NIFT application last date, authority will open registration portal for 2-3 days during which candidates can still submit form with late fee.

How to Apply for NIFT 2027

- Visit the online website (Direct Link will be provided above).
- Register on the provided option and generate application number.
- Create password and choose security question.
- Login with the application number.
- Now fill application form by providing personal details.
- Choose programme you want to apply.
- Choose exam city and fill up details of educational qualification.
- Upload images and documents. Student need to upload his/ her live photograph at the time of filling form.
- Upload scanned images of photograph (jpeg/jpg), signature and PWD/ PWBD certificate.
NIFT Application Correction 2027
Students will be able to edit details in the application form via online mode only. The correction window will open few days after the closing of registrations. The portal to edit form details will remain open for 2-3 days.
Only certain specific fields can be changed during correction window. No request for correction made by students via whatsapp/ fax/ post/ email /by hand will be entertained by NTA.
NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2027
Check NIFT 2027 eligibility for various UG/ PG courses offered:
For B.Des/ B.F.Tech:
- Qualifying level: Candidates must have passed 12th level or its equivalent exam from a recognised board, or from National Open Schools with at least 5 subjects. Those appearing for final exams are also eligible to apply.
- Age Limit: Maximum age limit of applying candidate should be 24 years old as on 1st August 2026. However, reserved category applicants are given relaxation of 5 years.
- Qualifying Subjects: Those applying for B.F.Tech should have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject in qualifying exam.
For M.Des /MFM /M.F.Tech Programmes:
- Qualification: Students should have Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognised board.
- Appearing: Those in their final year of a Bachelors degree are also eligible to apply.
- Age limit: There is no age limit to apply for M.Des/ M.FM/ M.F.Tech.
NIFT Exam Pattern 2027

- Exam mode: NIFT Exam of GAT (General ability test) will be held in CBT mode. While CAT (Creative ability test) will be conducted in Pen & paper based test (PBT) mode.
- Medium of Exam: Paper will be bilingual – Hindi and English.
- Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, 1 mark is awarded. -0.25 mark is deducted for every incorrect response.

NIFT 2027 Syllabus
The syllabus of NIFT 2027 varies for different UG and PG programmes. Level of difficulty in questions vary for different courses in General Ability test (GAT).
Creative ability test (CAT) test in NIFT is administered for both UG and PG design programmes to judge power of observation in concept development, intuitive ability and design ability of candidate. An important aspect of exam is innovative and creative use of colour and illustration skills.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions):
NIFT Answer Key 2027
NTA releases NIFTEE answer key on the website. The recorded responses and NIFTEE 2027 answer key will be available online in the third week of February 2027. The authority will first release the provisional key for 2-3 days and open challenge window.
Students can object against error in the answer key by paying certain amount of fee. All the challenges received will be examined by the experts after which final answer key will be hosted on the website.
NIFT Result 2027
NTA as well as NIFT will announced NIFTEE 2027 results online on the respective websites. The results are compiled on the basis of announced final answer key.
Students can check result in the third week of February 2027. Final results will be announced after the interview round. Qualified candidates will be considered eligible to proceed for further admissions rounds.
NIFT 2027 Cut Off
The opening and closing common merit rank (CMR) of NIFT will be available during counselling process. During various rounds of counselling, students will be able to view cut off ranks for various offered programmes, institutes/ campuses and categories.
The cut off rank will be higher for reserved category candidates on comparison to General and OBC -NCL candidates. Students aiming for top NIFT campuses need to target low cut off (150-700 or below) for highly competitive courses.
NIFT Counselling 2027
NIFT counselling schedule will be available in the 2nd week of June 2026. The counselling process is organised in various rounds. Each rounds has various steps including registration and document uploading, document verification, choice filling & locking and seat allotment and admission fee payment.
Candidates successfully qualified in entrance test, GAT/ CAT/ PI rounds and counselling process will be offered NIFT Admission 2027 finally.
